Can you ask your crystal ball about Take This Longing - I think that would be lovely with the violin.

My wish is for "One of us cannot be wrong", it was rehearsed for the 2008-2010 tour but never performed, hopefully that bids well for the song this time around!

Oh yes, I second that wish, it would be wonderful! And speaking of the first album, how about Master Song - seems he's never done that one live (I wonder why), so he probably won't, but I would love it if he did. . .

Well you two,
Your words have made me go and learn two new LC songs
I found One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong the easier one to play and definitely suited to the violin. Just listen to Raffi Hakopian in 1979. The song ended with his violin. I also rather like Leonard’s hand whistle at the end of the song as an alternative. If they do this time include it I wonder if he will do that.

With Take This Longing the violin gives this song a wonderful melancholy feeling which perfectly compliments the words and Leonard’s voice. I think a violin solo of the chorus at the end of the song would be very beautiful. I can’t wait to hear Alex play (anything!) and pick up some pointers!

...and Mary here's some more,
Of course I have to include Hey That’s No Way To Say Goodbye and Take This Waltz – a song with that title and timing cries out for a violin.

Also not forgetting that this is an Old Ideas Tour there will probably be for sure Amen, Show Me The Place, Come Healing and Going Home.

My crystal ball is cold with TTL, warming up with OOUCBW, moderate temperature with HTNWTSG and over heating with the above 4 OI songs. :)

btw....Master Song has been played live once as far as I know – at the BBC Sessions in 1968.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to B4real ~ me
Attitude is a self-fulfilling prophecy ~ me ...... The magic of art is the truth of its lies ~ me ...... Only left-handers are in their right mind!

Yes, you are right about that - I stand corrected! Thank you.

Me too - or three ...

Apparently "One of Us Cannot Be Wrong" is one of the songs that Margo Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies will sing "- at Massey Hall tonight - to honor Leonard - at the Glenn Gould Prize Gala. 8)
