wybe....king's day????...

royalty ain't one of my strong points ...what has happened to queen beatrix???? ...

has she gone to the big cycle shed in the sky?

does this mean that christy will have to rewrite the lyrics to 'weekend in amsterdam'

"queen beatrix she rides her bike
rembrandt is hangin' down in the rijk"
Ken, In the Netherlands our queen is retired, it's here not like your queen !
It is princes Beatrix since 2013, and she is still cycling in Amsterdam.
It is time that Christy comes to Amsterdam again, we have still space for a few participants of our event.

thanks for the update wybe....

the british ..even die-hard republicans like myself.. have always had a soft spot for your cycling queen beatrix....so good to know she is alive and well and still riding her bike around amsterdam....

but not all old queens are as popular or as gracious as your beatrix

i well remember the reaction while on a state visit to the netherlands of that grumpy old queen person who lives in london when invited to join queen beatrix on a cycle ride round amsterdam....ta ken
