Thanks a lot, dear Phil, that is excellent service.
But no hassle if something comes in between. In case we would find our way ourselves.
Best wishes, see you soon.

Hi Walkers
One or two people have kindly informed me of the approximate time and day they will be arriving in Elsecar . This is very welcome on our part because it means we can have someone waiting for the train to taxi them to the hotel . If everybody was of a mind to do that we would be very grateful ! Otherwise there are always the telephone numbers .
Many thanks
Phil

Following a request from one of the attendees of the walking weekend here is a list of all those who have paid their registration fee and therefore will be attending ! Please excuse any spelling mistakes as some of the names are rather difficult to fathom :

Not sure Wybe but as we have 24 hour drinking in the UK and it is a hotel I am sure there will be some flexibility around closing time especially on the Sunday night when we are in a private room .

Sorry, that´s too much even for me ...
... but it leads me to a better understanding of British politics.

Tomorrow off to Liverpool. Glad to see you all coming Friday. Have safe travels.

Hi all walkers
Some of you have been kind enough to let me know of the approximate time you will be arriving at Elsecar train station on the Friday . However there is still quite a few who haven’t ! In order to prevent you having to wait at the station for an excessive time I would be grateful if those who are yet to let me know of their arrival time will do so this week so then I can have enough transport to ferry people to the hotel as soon as you all arrive !
Many thanks
Phil

Our journey has begun! We are in Chicago where we had a great meal and we fly out tomorrow to Dublin, then on to Manchester. Don’t tell Anne, but I have upgraded us to Business Class for our flight to Dublin in honor of her birthday which is Wednesday.

Phil, Ken booked our train and I think we leave Manchester about 11:00, but don’t know our arrival time. I suspect the 11 of us sojourning in Manchester on Thursday night might be on the same train.

Don’t stress we can take taxis if need be.

See everyone very soon!

On Friday Tom & Bernie are due to arrive in Elsecar at 18.52. (I suspect that's unlikely..)

Looking forward to plenty of "walking". : -))

Thanks to everyone who have posted their arrival times with particular thanks to you ken for the info that 12 will be arriving together . I will arrange for at least three vehicles to be there for that pick up time . Please don’t go to the expense of taxis even if not everyone can be accommodated on the first run . The return journey is not very long ,the weather forecast does not imply rain and even if it is there is a shelter for people to hide in . Patience is the buzz word of the day I think . I realise people’s pent up excitement about wanting to get straight to the health spa and gymnasium and we will get you there as quick as possible just be patient ! Lol
