here is an exclusive photo of beatriz testing the first of the many temporary escalators that she has arranged to be installed throughout the viladrau countryside for this year's leonard cohen walking weekend...beatriz has carefully chosen only the more difficult sections of the walk where these special escalators are to be installed...if any participants wish to make use of the escalators (either up or down) there will be a small supplementary charge which will be collected on the day by either beatriz herself or jarkko...but please be warned don't hand over any money to henning no matter what he says......ta ken

Bea, Jarkko,
Is there any news yet on accommodation for our weekend?

And should we consider booking flights to Barcelona before prices rise?

Bea will answer your question about accommodation (will not be any problem)
It's wise to reserve the flights as early as possible - this way you get the cheapest price.
We have flights by Norwegian, Helsinki-Barcelona-Helsinki, 119 eur return. Not bad!

Thanks Jarkko,
I'll book Easyjet flights from Liverpool for a similar price, before they go up again!

No worries about hotels, Margaret
I'll be sending all the info next week, when the last registration fees will be collected.
Don't try to book directly, we have special offers on all hotels.

margaret..when the time comes to book your flight check out the monarch flights from manchester..they are a few pounds more expensive but flight times are more convenient...from memory the easyjet flights from liverpool land in barcelona after 9-10pm and return early morning to liverpool...once again from memory the monarch flights from manchester land in barcelcona mid afternoon to fly back to manchester mid afternoon....i will check it out tomorrow as it's a few weeks since i last checked...getting back to barcelona from viladrau for an early morning flight home doesn't appeal to me whatsoever...personally i don't like arriving anyhere late in the evening nor do i like early morning flights...

also ryanair and BA do direct flights from manchester to barcelona but i'm sure you will do your research before booking....ta ken

lots of possibilities if you come up north between Liverpool and Manchester...just depends on what day and what time you wish to travel...

ryanair and easy jet from liverpool..
monarch jet2 vueling ryanair BA and easyjet from manchester
i've been using skyscanner this morning to check out times and prices ..with skyscanner it helpfully combines airline companies for outward and inward flights...but so many possibilities i'm leaving off from booking until I we get more info from beatriz...ta ken
