If this doesn't get you into the Christmas spirit, then I don't know what will:

Hehe! Good one Hartmut,
I find No Regrets in listening to that rendition ;-)
The "more" is for sure one of Leonard's favourite songs!
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to B4real ~ me

He and Jennifer once had plans to do a whole album of Piaf songs. - A pity that this never actually happened.

I vaguely recall something along those lines. I've never heard your link before and I wonder where it came from?
I do remember LC at an interview in 2009 being asked if he regretted not having a life long partner. He spontaneously replied by singing in French, with that cheeky smile on his face all the time, the first few lines of No Regrets :)

I've heard him talk about it in several interviews. Here's an excerpt from one of them:

Well, you might be onto something here ...

Bonjour. The title of the song is "Non je ne regrette rien" by Edith Piaf.

Bonjour, ça va?

Indeed, it's some lines from "Non, je ne regrette rien" combined with the melody of "O Christmas Tree".

Hartmut and B4-
Sorry for intruding, but I was interested in seeing the O Christmas Tree by Leonard so I followed your links and found this thread, and when I clicked on your link for "Non je ne regrette rien" by Edith Piaf, I immediately recognized it from the Dove Chocolate commercial that has been broadcasted heavily here recently, and which I immediately thought was cool. It is so rare to see a woman of age portrayed as vital in advertisements (at least here in the US, not sure of elsewhere).

It's funny how our connection to Leonard touches so many things.
