"Avalanche" - Dexter New Blood

Post by ScottM »

I was surprised and delighted to hear Leonard Cohen's "Avalanche" when watching the recent episode of "Dexter: New Blood" an American crime drama mystery miniseries developed for Showtime as a continuation of the series "Dexter".

In episode 3 "Smoke Signals" Leonard Cohen’s “Avalanche” plays as Dexter Morgan/Jim Lindsay (Michael C. Hall) visits the crime scene to rectify one more oversight. Dexter spreads body scent as he is forced to move a body after learning that the police are bringing in a dog team.

Quite atmospheric and I think that "Avalanche", possibly my favourite LC song, supported the scene well.

For Sky TV subscribers (UK) the series currently airs every Monday on Sky Atlantic.
