"Hey That's No Way to Say Goodbye" by Starry-Eyed and Laughing

Post by John Etherington »

Here's a beautiful new version of "Hey That's No Way to Say Goodbye" by Starry-Eyed and Laughing featuring Tony Poole on vocals, recorded this week. It comes on a free CD of covers if you buy their new CD of unreleased material. However this offer is only open till 7th October. Here's the link to order it: https://www.starryeyedandlaughing.com/b ... htning.htm

Starry-Eyed and Laughing made two LPs on CBS in the 70s, and are renowned their music which features Tony Poole on rickenbacker and is strongly influenced by the Byrds. I believe that when Roger McGuinn once heard their version of Dylan's "Chimes of Freedom", he believed that it was his own version!

Here's their Leonard cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgkqFj81SyQ
