Sylvie Simmons does two events in New York

Postby jarkko » Tue Jun 11, 2019 12:39 am

Hi everyone, Sylvie Simmons here. Just to let you know that I'll be doing two events this week in New York City. One of them is at the Jewish Museum on 1109 5th Avenue at 92nd on Thursday June 13th at 6.30pm. It's a presentation and panel on Leonard - many of you already know that the NY Jewish Museum is hosting the Montreal Contemporary Art Museum's remarkable exhibition of Cohen-inspired artists. I'll be there talking alongside Leonard's friend and producer John Lissauer, Alan Light who wrote the Hallelujah book, and Chantal Ringuet, a Montreal academic who's studied Leonard's work deeply. I'll do a book signing afterwards.

And I'm also doing an intimate little music show at an art gallery the evening before - Weds June 12th at the Fridman Gallery, 7pm. It's at 169 Bowery on the S.E Corner of Delancey. I'll sing a number Leonard Cohen songs as well as my own songs.
Hope to see you at one place or another, and sorry for the last-minute notice (the gallery gig has only just been set up)!
