Thanks for that excellent Feels So Good video MadLennyFan and Sturgess. This song is always a work-in-progress it would appear. I'll bet it's on the new album :)
I've just listened to it and here are the new lyrics as far as I can make out. The line in red is open to suggestions.

Feels So Good
Toronto 4th December 2012

I’ve got a little secret, if you promise not to tell
I’ve got a little secret, if you promise not to tell
I made a date in heaven, but I’ve been keeping it in hell

It feels so good, not to love you like I did
It feels so good, not to love you like I did
It’s like they tore away my blindfold
and they said we’re gonna let this prisoner live

I’d like to hold you baby, but my arms are old and weak
I’d like to hold you baby, but my arms are old and weak
I was listening to your story, but I guess I fell asleep

Music interlude with Neil on the organ

It feels so good to wake up in the morning by myself
Cup of coffee in the kitchen, fire up a little danger to my health
And always something to thinking (at 3:50 mins) - replace the last "ing" with "yeah"
that there must be something else

Music interlude with Javier on guitar

Feels so good, not to love you like I did
It feels so good, not to wonder who you’re with
Who you love and who you touch and who you kiss

I got a little secret, if you promise not to tell
I got a little secret, if you promise not to tell
I made a date in heaven, but I’ve been keeping it in hell

....and yep, He's definitely singing the blues 8)

EDITS: in blue

What a fantastic video of an absolutely awesome performance!! Thank you so much, MadLennyFan & Linda!

And thank you, Bev, for posting the lyrics.

I heard mostly the same thing you did; the lines you wrote in red, in the "cup of coffee in the kitchen. . ." verse, to me sound kind of like: " . . .And always I'm into thinking/ that there must be something else". But those lines are difficult to discern, so that's probably not correct. . .

Let's hope he does it again. . .& again. . .

My take on the new lyric in Feels So Good:

"And always somethin' to think, yeah..."

Thoughts?

I listened again & now I think Bev's version is closer & might be right:

"And always somethin' to thinkin'/ that there must be something else. . ."

I think it's definitely: ". . .some__ __thinkin'". I'm just not sure what those 2 syllables are, between the "some" & "thinkin'"

Whatever it is, the whole thing is so beautiful.

It sounds like, right before Neil stops playing, Leonard says to him, "that's all - good" - interesting little tidbit. . .I love it that we can hear that.

Edit: I must make myself stop obsessing about this now. . . :D

I'm sticking to my version, I am certain (lol!) that he sings, "and always something to think, yeah," which he draws out in a very deep voice, "yeeeaaahhh," which I can clearly hear with my really great ear-buds! Besides, it makes more sense, if you take out the "yeah", for him to say "and there's always somethin' to think that there must be somethin' else". "Thinking" does not make good syntactical sense in that sentence.

Of course, if I hear another version and it sounds different, then either I will retract my insistence on the "yeah," or I will simply suggest that Leonard changed the lyric again! ;-)

Rachel and Lisa, I've just had another listen and Lisa's "yeah" could be right - after all, she does speak Canadian
Unfortunately, he puts his hand in front of his mouth just at that moment so we can't see the shape of the word.
I was also going to originally ask what the last word is that he says, I think directed to Mitch straight after the verse we are discussing. He says "take it ....."
At first I thought it might have been "prof" referring to Mitch as the professor but I don't think so. I actually find his ad lib and aside remarks most interesting :)

Hi Bev,

I think that Leonard says, "Take it, Jav" (it sounds like, "Hov," phonetically"). Javier has been rocking out on an electric guitar this tour (in fact, I think he also played an electric guitar in some 2010 versions of this song).

I also had another listen to the whole thing when I got home (my home computer has much better sound than the one I have at work, where I listened previously, but, shhhhh, don't tell...), and I am convinced about the "Yeah"--I can hear the "y" at the beginning, so I have no doubt.

Great new verson of the song, I love the new vibe! Cheers!

I can confirm this! I was in second row right in front of Javier- he did indeed say "Take it Jav".
