Can't See Him, But Can Hear Him - "Come Healing"
I love this new song from Leonard Cohen's latest album "Old Ideas" and wanted to capture it when I was on my last six concert adventure. However, it was not to be. Each venue presented an obstacle, either my seat location or strict no video security. The challenge in Seattle was my seat location, albeit first row but off to the side.
Leonard Cohen kneels when singing his "penitential hymn" and the camerman blocked him from my view. I started to video this song hoping the camerman would alter his position, but he didn't. I finally gave up part way through the song, put my camera away and just sat and listened to this delicate intense hymn.
I was very impressed with the Webb Sisters' brilliant harmonies. For the second verse, the two sopranos varied their harmony to match Leonard Cohen's lower register bass and the effect was superb. Very rich and gripping.
Even though my video is only a partial, it is still a beautiful memory of how comforting Leonard Cohen's song of healing is at this particular time in my life.
I hear it as the
Mi Shebeirach, a Jewish prayer for healing which asks God who blessed our ancestors to bless and heal our loved ones.

Thank you, Arlene. That is a beautiful song and we hope that you are healing as well. We're very glad to see that you are planning on some concerts this spring. I've been in the Orpheum in Memphis and from what I remember it is a beautiful venue. Anne & I were just in Memphis last spring, I really like that city-wish we could join you.

One of the hundreds of Leonard Cohen videos I took over the years. I'm posting my best ones so everybody can enjoy them. As a huge fan, I tried attending as many Leonard concerts as I could afford. After meeting and interacting with Leonard a few times, he actually became fond of me and went on to give me many tickets to his sold-out concerts -- along with hundreds of autographs, drawings, pictures, and whatever else I ever asked. I'm sure my tenacity, peculiarity, and me being so much younger than most of his fans must've intrigued him. I'm forever grateful for his kindness and patience with me. I miss him dearly. Took me two years after his passing just to be able to go through these videos without tearing up, it hurts not having him around.
All videos were shot by me, Mike Fulop. The videos are posted on my business YouTube page, but they're unrelated to it. I rarely sold or traded any Leonard Cohen autographs, only the occasional double or damaged item.

Linda,
Thank you for taking the time to post all of Mike Fulop's youtube videos.
With the exception of 'The Guests' in Seattle, all the others (from all the different locations) are showing 'an error occurred' for me. Is this right?
Kindest regards,
Mary

Hi Mary,
I just checked all the Seattle YouTube links and they work for me. I don't know why you can't access them.
While I was checking - I found another video posted by Mike Fulop from the Seattle show - but not show itself, although the video includes some terrific photos from the show. It's Leonard signing autographs for Mike and family.
Leonard Cohen's last trip to Seattle in 2012 - Meeting the whole family, including the pups!

Hope the links start working for you - Mike took some good video.
Kindest regards back to you.
