Meet Up in Boston

Hello everyone, I do have a bit of an update. After speaking with the rep at the Revere, we do have a couple of options. First of all, to reserve a private room is very expensive. They would require a minimum $750 food order so I think that is out. Next option is for $250 plus a flat fee gratuity we can reserve a 'space' for drinks and appetizers. This would require a weeks notice at the very minimum. This would probably be a good idea if we end up with more than 20 people as that may be too many to serve efficiently without prior notice.
Third option is of course just show up and mingle at the lounge. As I see it, it will be early on Saturday and there shouldn't be very many other patrons either drinking or eating. If we say 5-6:30 PM we may hit 'Happy Hour'!

It would be a real shame to give up on the private dining option! All we need is 10 couples who will commit to spend at least $75 each on dinner (quite reasonable for a night out in Boston and not nearly as much as most of us have already spent on tickets).

Any takers? pm me and we'll see if we can reach the goal. It will be fun!

Hi Avi, was out of the country again so only looking at forum now again. I noticed you didn't have a pm or email so didn't post to you immediately. I'm going with the public space too I'm afraid. Just too many things can go wrong in the winter time what with weather, flights cancelled etc so its the safest option I think. Hope to see you there anyway. It'll be fun either way. Catherine :D

A few of us locals are meetings for dim sum at the Empire Garden on Washington St in Chinatown before the concert. It's a huge place with good, very reasonably priced food. If anyone out there is interested in joining us let me know and I'll send details or simply post them if there is any interest.

Count me in for the Revere Hotel rendezvous - looks like a happenin' spot, and I'm loving the proximity to the Wang!
Thanks so much to Barbara & Catherine for doing all the legwork.
Look forward to meeting you all there - and seeing Avi again :)
- Lori

Hey folks, looks nice for meeting at the Revere! Proximity to the Wang is great, and it'll be fantastic to see some more fans! I'm really looking forward to my two concerts this year!

Hello All, I want to mention just a couple of items in regard to our meet-up. There is a 'business casual' dress code for the Emerald Lounge. This would mean a shirt with a collar for the guys. I don't think it makes any difference for the gals. So, if you are wearing a LC tee shirt you may want a sport jacket too. The drinks are in the moderate to high price range. I myself do not have an issue with either of these things and would prefer to keep to the original plan, but we do not want anyone to be unpleasantly surprised so please let us know if this is a problem for anyone. We have looked at a couple of other options.

Hi Honey604, I am going to the concert on the 16th. We have a meet-up planned for the 15th, but nothing for the 16th as far as I know. Can you join us on the 15th?
