In the traffic jam on the way out now.
Great night.
A few things:
Some changes in set list; Marianne in the first set, banjo in second. No going home. Sisters of mercy in first set. No last dance.
Higlights for me:
-beautiful bird on wire
-warm dedication to Marianne Ihlen before the song.
-night comes on and coming back to you from various positions.
-In I'm your man Leonard picked up flowers from the crowd and gave them to the ladies in the band, while singing.
Almost 4 hours,including brake. Start 08:00, ended 23:45

Looking forward to the show in Gothenburg tomorrow! I like it alot when he change the setlist around, and with so many songs to choose from, I hope he does it more often! I hoping for: In my secret life, Sisters of Mercy and That don´t make it junk in Gothenburg....!

Leonard Cohen covers the entire frontpage of the paper issue of Halden Arbeiderblad (local Norwegian newspaper) with this picture from the concert:
"Leonard Cohen can now add Fredriksten fortress to the list of his major conquests, right after Manhattan and Berlin." The concert report is written by the well known Norwegian music journalist Tom Skjeklesæther, rolling 6 on the dice for Mr. Cohen.
Another article can be found in Fredrikstad Blad, another local newspaper:

I hope it was a wonderful concert as always, but no different sides in setlist!. I hope Leonard will sing it in Madrid. For me, It's a masterpiece of old ideas album!

I'd agree with dropping "Save the Last Dance". Simply no space for covers except "The Partisan". "I Tried to Leave You" is the perfect end to the concert.

Google translate comes up with some odd phrases in english , such as calling the band intruductions 'pompous'!
I trust this isn't what the reviewer intended !

Am I the only one who finds "I Tried to Leave You" tedious ?
The joke has long since worn thin. It was written about leaving a woman, for heaven's sake, not an audience.
As an introduction to the band it could have a place earlier in the setlist, as could "If it be your will " sung by the Webb sisters.
But encores, the last many will hear of LC, EVER, should I think be
undiluted Leonard!
Personally, I would MUCH prefer to hear "Save the last Dance" or "lullaby" as an encore in Dublin!
