Now we have seen a fantastic video of 'light as a breeze', can we expect to see 'the guests' and/or Joan of Arc' at Gent? :D I think that would make everyone happy. The new album 'Old Ideas' fits beautifully with the lineup of songs we are very familiar with. It really is a great addition to Leonard's gems.

Sharon Robinson and the Webb sisters are looking and sounding excellent. All the musicians are doing a great job also.

Thank you again for the posters of these videos. Please keep them coming.

(Eija and I saw only the first concert and then returned to Finland)
Great photos, Eija & Jarkko
So that's what Du Gruut looks like in daylight. :D Last time we were there for a post concert meetup, it was very dark in the back garden.

I hope it's okay to post some of the pics on my LC Scrapbook?

Thanks again,

I am impatiently awaiting reports from the third concert. I wonder which songs made it in the setlist this evening. :)

I didn't know "Breeze" was a first.
This was my 2nd Cohen gig after Amsterdam 2008.

He didn't do The Partisan in 2008. Did hear it live on my phone from down under and Venice though. Bless you dear friends.
Listened to Songs From A Room at a friend's for the first time many many moons ago, matter of fact a year after its release.
October 1970. I know because I met my first wife there.
Because of my family history and that moment the song never left me. Goosebumps till this day.
Anyways ... row 15 seat 11 ...in the golden circle.
My cellphone ready ... my heart ready ...

Oh dear ... the two ladies I read about here before came back and are a row behind me ... bla bla bla
Lucky me ... ;-)
After 3 songs I had to react, told them to please please shut the f**k up, I didn't pay €100 to listen to their conversation.
Helped for a bit but after the break and two €3 beers from a plastic cup I decided to move to the back of the Golden Circle
Right in front of the sound people who were graciously thanked by Lenny of course.
And then the soldiers came ... I can die now without a whisper ... magical, like the whole evening.
Bless you Leonard. It was sublime.

Made vids and pics, but most of em suck, but would like to share these:

I did get home safe ...

That is not only very unkind, it is a totally inappropriate comment. Fedoras and caps are part of the professional dress for everybody in the UHTC organization, band and crew alike. http://leonardcohen.tumblr.com/post/269 ... itting-day

To quote from a crew member's tour log, Leif Bodnarchuk:
Dressing sharp is one way that the crew can feel a part of the overall performance, breaking down barriers between musician and ‘roadie.’

Slowly sorting the nearly 2000 photos. Here is the link to the ones of fellow "friends" from meetups, soundcheck and pre-concert. Also includes a look at the venue from Saturday night and a few random signs and posters :) Concerts photos will follow as soon as I sort them!

Looking forward to hearing about night 3 and especially of any new songs!

Went Tuesday night. Only can be humble towards SIR L. Cohen. (and the band).

you have touched me to the core.
Once again.

Look forward to seeing them again in Paris. And contemplating about getting to see you in NY.. one way or the other..whatever it takes ;-)

Going Home, second night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yas2uHpspMc

Leonard was beautifully dressed the 2nd night, I prefer that to the more casual look of the first night :)

Finally the new "Future" ::)) still powerful. Although, after 246 superb performances in 2008-10, I could live without it for the sake of some new and more rare song in the set list:)
