Julie and her son

Postby dick » Mon Dec 16, 2013 11:05 pm

Since I'm not sure how many of you are on Julie Christensen's mail list, I am copying her latest message here. I thought all would like to see her status update and request for support for her son, Magnus, and his SUNY film project. I very much look forward to seeing the film! Be sure and follow the link in Julie's message for movie trailer and funding appeal.

.........

Hi Friends,

I hope this season is treating you kindly, and that you are cozy and among good friends. We are really enjoying our new home in Nashville!

Some of you may have been contacted about our son Magnus Jackson Diehl's Junior Thesis film fundraiser on indiegogo. And some of you may have already chipped in. Thank you! The working title is "Sal and the Goon," and my husband John Diehl is going to play "the Goon." It's a good story, and we're pretty proud of the good work Magnus has been doing at SUNY Purchase in their great film conservatory.

I know that in this new "DIY" entertainment business climate you get a lot of requests like this. We just ask that you take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. There are some interesting perks; you can make a contribution, or simply follow updates and spread the word.(That really helps!) If enough of us get behind it, we can make 'Sal and the Goon: working title' happen! We are scheduled to shoot in New Mexico early in the new year.
Here's the link. Enjoy.

Yours very truly,

Thanks so much for posting this, Dick! It was so great to see you, Linda, and Esther in New York City. I hope our next visit is not so far off. Here's the link to my son Magnus Jackson Diehl's film fundraiser again. We are so proud of him. The script is amazing. There are 10 days left in which to help, and any small amount is welcome.

Thank you for bringing this here Dick!!

Julie,
I have just contributed to this, because, if your son is anywhere near to being as good as you are, this will be a fantastic project. Can't wait to see this movie!

Affectionate regards,
Mary

Thank you, Marie and Mary! It's all so exciting. Magnus' fundraiser is half way there with just 3 days left! But we've gotten a lot of activity today, so…
Here's another video he just finished and posted. It's of my Sideways Heart song. It was my Christmas present. It's handheld and on a Canon Rebel t2i. He'll be shooting his upcoming film on a more professional camera with tracking and dollies and the like. But I'm really happy with my present. Here it is!

And here again is the link to the fundraiser for Magnus Jackson Diehl's film. Please repost if you can't give. It all helps!
