Videos with an interview and a song promoting Adam's tour down under -
Adam Cohen, son of singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, has announced a set of Australian shows in support of his fifth studio album, We Go Home. Following a recent interview with Music Feeds, Cohen treated us to a stripped-back acoustic performance of the album’s title track, backed by two of his bandmates, at Sydney’s Clock Hotel.

The gig at the Caravan Club on March 13 (the one I was going to ) is cancelled.
I'm not sure if it's just this show or the whole tour.

Re: Adam Cohen touring Australia
The whole tour, alas. Email from Moshtix is vague on reasons: "due to commitments in Canada."

Re: Adam Cohen touring Australia
Yes the whole tour is cancelled as I understand it.
He's going to disappoint a lot of people. Should get his act together, and management functioning better! Probably will affect his Australian prospects, it seems the bookings were good , at least for the show I was booked to see. Australia probably doesn't rate as a priority market and hence expendable if a better prospect comes along!

The apparently high profile London show was equally expendable and I agree they need to get their act together. Cancellation at short notice cost a lot of us in terms of non-cancellable travel and hotel costs.

It looks like there is a lack of interest.

I think a statement would be nice. There’s nothing on his Facebook page, just updated on the Euro shows as normal. All I have is an email from the ticket vendor, not even the venue and not the artist. These things happen for whatever reason but acknowledging it is better than just slinking away and pretending it doesn't exist ...

Re: Adam Cohen touring Australia
Unfortunately he's not really generating much interest in his career for the future in doing this. Citing "due to commitments in Canada" seems a bit of a lame excuse and more an issue of organisational dysfunction. If it was a personal emergency it could be understood but a generic corporate type statement doesn't help. It seems to becoming a more common issue with artists and management taking our money well in advance and then changing or cancelling dates. Little recognition of the additional costs incurred with travel, accommodation etc that most people probably would not get back!Cheshire gal wrote:It looks like there is a lack of interest.
