"I love to see you naked over there especially from the back"

But another day it will be something compleely different.

Sorry, this just can't be done. :? There are so many good lines and 'favoutites' will depend on your mood in particular circumstances at particular times.

Lets be alone together, lets see if we’re that strong. We weren't lovers like that and besides it would still be alright. She tied you to a kitchen chair, she broke your throne and she cut your hair, and from your lips she drew the hallelujah. And who shall I say is calling? ;-)
of course you say you can't complain

"He was just a numberless man in a chair
who'd just come back from the war.
And you wrap up his tired face in your hair
and he hands you the apple core.
Then he touches your lips now so suddenly bare
of all the kisses we put on some time before."

Amazing, isn't it?

Revisited "Ten New Songs" recently.

What appears to be quite a simple line, but really poignant:

"...Love Itself was gone".

There are so many, but if i should pick just one would be this one, because it happens quite often:

"Ah, you loved me as a loser, but now you're worried that I just might win"

Now I know this is an old thread but the last few albums are not represented here so I thought I would add a few of my favourite lines (at the moment) from them. But everyone feel free to add any of your favourite lines from anywhere.

POPULAR PROBLEMS 2014
A weekend on your lips
A lifetime in your eyes ~ Slow

This was your heart
This swarm of flies
This was once your mouth
This bowl of lies ~ Nevermind

YOU WANT IT DARKER 2016
You smiled at me like I was young
It took my breath away ~ On The Level

If the sea were sand alone
And the flowers made of stone ~ If I Didn't Have Your Love

THANKS FOR THE DANCE 2019
Now the angel’s got a fiddle
The devil’s got a harp
Every soul is like a minnow
Every mind is like a shark ~ What Happens To The Heart

Listen to the humming bird
Whose wings you cannot see
Listen to the hummingbird
Don’t listen to me ~ Listen To The Hummingbird

And coincidentally but most appropriately, as we are all waiting for that elusive hummingbird connection at this moment in time, ending with the last ever (for now) verse ;-)
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to B4real ~ me
Attitude is a self-fulfilling prophecy ~ me ...... The magic of art is the truth of its lies ~ me ...... Only left-handers are in their right mind!

Thanks B4real for resurrecting this thread. Here are some of my favourites:

"Please understand I never had a secret chart to get me to the heart of this...or any other matter"

"I'll even wear these old laurel leaves he's shaken from his head"

"Show me slowly what I only know the limits of"

"Then he locked himself in a library shelf with the details of our (shabby) honeymoon"

And lastly, one that was mentioned here several pages/years back:

"I got this rig that runs on memories"

We are so fortunate to have had our lives immeasurably enriched with countless unforgettably beautiful lines from Leonard's canon.
