Yes, Demetris... but I can't remember how I know that.

ic.
So,You know that it's Hydra, but you don’t know how you know.

Perhaps you also don’t trust your inner feelings, as inner feelings come and go? :)

Hmmm.... more uncorroborated speculation, I'm afraid, but I'm virtually certain the second photo was taken in California, maybe even Beverly Hills. I seem to remember it being attached to an article posted a very few years ago, either on Jarkko's site or Marie Mazur's.

It's always made me cringe, a bit like that one of Princess/Lady/St Diana with the light streaming through her skirt from behind, but now it seems quite compelling in its way!

 Well, Bhasi ~ Just let it be said that I would not be surprized to be proven wrong on that... perhaps, I can't remember the source because the source was speculation here as to where it was taken. Perhaps, it just 'locked in' in that fashion. Since you're at least coming up with good possibilities for the source, you're also more likely to be correct on where it was taken. I probably should have couched my statement in more uncertain terms  .

The second photo doesn't feel like Hydra to me, for several reasons. First, the steps are concrete not stone. Second, the steps are not whitewashed. Third, the treads of the steps are not wide enough to be a comfortable climb for a mule. Fourth, the Greeks don't bother with handrails much. Fifth, the vegetation behind looks far too lush and well-cared-for.

Spot on, Hydriot 8) . I defer to your expertise... as I read your comments, I thought, "Right... Right... Right... Right... Right." That's why your name is Hydriot  .

In support of the California speculation, that t-shirt is pristine condition, like new! I don't know if such could be acquired in far-off places in those days. I say it's California.

He looks very tanned in the second photo - too tanned for
Canada. I would also speculate on a California location.

It looks like it might be in front of the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.

Chateau Marmont?

I wouldn't know. Don't think I could get in there! Of course, I read there are a lot of steps in Hydra, so, maybe...
I wonder if Leonard even knows.
