This summer will be held in Florence the only Italian date of the tour of the singer and poet Leonard Cohen. The singer will perform in the Piazza Santa Croce on September 1, Summer in Florence, at the end of the festival "Live On." The concert was announced the Councillor communal culture of Florence, Giuliano da Empoli, who said the administration wants to take every summer, "the great icons of contemporary music in town."

(Google translation, in part)
"With Cohen this year, like last year with Patti Smith - said the Head of Culture Giuliano da Empoli - we want to usher in a new cultural tradition Florentine, or bring the greatest icons of contemporary pop music in the city. But not just an event commercials: we would rather be involved in the life of Florence Cohen, as was done in 2009 with Patti Smith. We'd maybe get Cohen in the Palazzo Vecchio for a reading in Salone, as it is also a good writer. "
Now, that would be one heck of a special event!

Oh my G~d! LOOK at that place!! For the hall to be so whisper quiet that his voice drifts through and past the people effortlessly, everyone hearing every word. Wouldn't it be awesome if he were to consent.

Leonard has been and continues to be encsonced in so much splendour through these tours. Ironic for our dear, sweet, humble, Zen Master of Song, to turn up in such places 8) ... including the Kremlin Palace.
