Interesting question Remote. If they've been working on the dates for the rest of the tour ever since the re-scheduling of the March dates to September and October was announced in early February then I guess that a fair bit of the 2010 tour may be cast in stone by now. However, there is always room for dreams so I think we SHOULD carry on wishing out loud. After all, even if the dates for the rest of 2010 are cast in stone by now there is always the 2011 tour to hope for. I'm sure they'll be looking for ideas and by then it will DEFINITELY be time to visit the UK and Ireland again!

I have to say I am VERY intrigued by this gap, this line of flight, as one of my favourite philosophers would say, in August... :D

Edit 15/03: Ok, and the answer is... here! viewtopic.php?f=44&t=21132#p219715 8)

Unfortunately no concerts are scheduled to South Africa, Jo.

Spot on! I noticed a while ago that there is a forum member whose username is deleuze68, so it's good to know there are at least three Deleuze (&Guattari should I say) admirers in the world! ;-)

Hang on a second... that was a definite no to South Africa that I just saw wasn't it?... Have I missed the 'definite no' to the UK then? - or has there not been one??

(Somebody PLEASE say that there hasn't been one!!! Because I have been going round for months crossing everything - still, including me eyes - still!)

Remote- I do like your thinking - lots of gaps for dreams! :)

Bloody hell - what must I do to get him here? Kidnap him?
That can be arranged ..... :D
Could you wrap him up and send him to the next Cape Town International Jazz Festival, Jarrko?

Alsiony, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there was definitely a post somewhere where Jarkko wrote something like: "To the best of my knowledge there are no concerts scheduled for the UK". There was another post where his answer to someone asking was " :( ". This was followed by a joking post by John Etherington about a gig in Oxford at the end of August, and someone mentioning the Sheldonian as a possible venue... I have searched for a few minutes and cannot find any trace of them so, either I have not searched well enough, or the posts have been deleted... My impression is that posts are being deleted right, left and centre at the moment, and that Jarkko is actually under a lot of pressure from AEG London about what he can and cannot reveal... However, to look at things on the bright side, if the negative posts regarding the UK were indeed deleted, then there is hope! :D Or again, maybe I have not searched well enough!

Edit: searched "Sheldonian" just now and all that came up is this post. So unless I am totally delusional posts have indeed been deleted.

Argh!! This is mental! Haha!!

If enough of us Brits end up going insane about it all - maybe Lovely Leonard would just do a teeny weeny quick gig over here? - purely just for medicinal purposes ofcourse...

Reckon??

Let's hope so!

oh, and I would love it if whoever was joking about the Sheldonian could confirm this as I am beginning to seriously worry about my sanity. Cheers!

It's a bit like a George Orwell novel, with history being deleted and rewritten...

Hi Remote1,

Don't fret about your sanity ;-) . I am 99% sure it was mabeanie1 who mentioned the Sheldonian, and it was indeed on one of the threads that Jarkko had to delete. :)

No, it wasn't me. If I was going to request a specific local venue I would have asked for a week at Curdworth Village Hall (because the church hall would be much too small ....)
