Ah, the power of the grey £, or Euro, or dollar etc. He's got his long term fans who have been joined by successive generations. The number of cover versions, performed by latterday pop idols, has introduced lc's work to younger music devotees. Each generation discovers lc from whatever source they are listening to and his followers/appreciative fans, are increasing in number, day by day.

What a moment it would be, if the #1, could be put next to 'Dear Heather' in every country it has been released in. All on the same day!

Wow. It would certainly brighten up my day and a few others too.

Fingers and paws crossed please Albert. Touch wood and whistle. Where's me 4 leaf clover? Albert!!! stop walking on the cracks!! :)

Where did you find the chart position for the U.S.? Billboard Online only posts the Top 50 on their web-site. Did you subscribe to the rest? This weeks magazine won't be in stores in the U.S. until next week.

Wow! Dear Heather #113. It did better than Ten New Songs #143

"Billboard Online only posts the Top 50 on their web-site."

Not that it matters in this case but Billboard Online actually posts the top 100 on the site every week. You just have to click on 51-100.

YG: the charts came directly from Sony (via Anjani).

I went to Borders today and saw this week's Billboard magazine. Dear Heather debuted at # 131 in the U.S., not 113.
