Hi Diana –
In the rafters, in the highest??? That’s ok for now; I might decide to find something better later. I just wanted to secure my presence there with minimal cost and since the all good “pricy” tickets seem to be gone right now is better to have something almost for nothing than little bit more than something for much, much more.

Greetings,

Roman

Deadline and update:

I need some time to format and post the donor list, so feel I need to set September 21 as the deadline for donations to the plaque fund that will be listed. Later contributions can still be forwarded to Leonard's chosen charity, but donor name not guaranteed for listing.

We are up to 250 participants now. Many thanks!

Plans still call for dedication ceremony at 2pm on October 23. Sue Giffard (sue7) is helping me with guest list -- now up to about 40 coming to the Chelsea. Len Bierbrier (leonard from montreal) is helping with program. Thanks go to Sue and Len.

Pleased to announce another celebrity guest --- John Lissauer has agreed to come. As many know, John was an early bandmate, and also produced "New Skin for the Old Ceremony" --- the album with the studio version of Chelsea Hotel No. 2.

Hoping to have more special guests to announce as we get closer. For now --- it's Barcelona and the photo project and Spanish concerts!

Are any fans invited? Is Leonard going to be there? His Madison Square Garden concert is that night.

Clawless, forum members are invited. Only people on a guest list will be admitted, so contact Dick or me (you can pm me if you like) if you are planning to be there. Please let us know your first and last name, and where you're coming from, as well as your forum name (all this for the nametags).

Thanks for responding Sue.

Only fair for me to also say that I have no expectation that Leonard will come. He has stayed very much out of sight before and after most all show on the tour, and has early afternoon sound checks. We would of course welcome our man with open arms if he proves me wrong.

Have another special guest that I can announce. Larry (Ratso) Sloman has accepted my invitation. In addition to several books, he wrote the LC bio that is in the 1993 Future Tour book.

I am living too far away to attend the 23 October ceremony, but I'll be already happy if my name is on the list of contributors. And of course if I can see it on a Youtube clip afterwards.

Plaque Update

Plaque has arrived at the Chelsea, and they will mount it but keep it covered prior to our October 23rd unveiling. Linda, Esther, and I all think it looks fantastic.

Donor list is below. Alpha by first name. Please advise of any corrections that may be needed. Rather than giving alerts to all members, please email me directly at rstraub@att.net.

Many thanks for generosity! Thanks to sue7 for helping with this listing.
