Still Tickets for Langesund

Post by BlizzardofIce »

Langesund, Norway is not sold out yet.

This concert is easilly reached from anywhere in Europe, it is located just 60 km from a Ryanair-airport, Torp - Sandefjord ("Oslo" on ryanair.com). f.ex. can tickets from Stanstead, London be bought on the concert day for ca 35 GBP, inc taxes.
wizzair also flyes from Katowice, Warszawa, Gdansk, Poznan,
Kiev and Prague.

The concert is to be held in a beautiful park, next to the sea.

I'm surprised to see that it is not sold out, but for anyone around in europe that was hoping to get Cohen to their homeland this summer this is an easy alternative.

According to the local newspaper of the Langesund area today, 12,000 tickets were out for sale - 8,500 are sold by now. The organizers are quite pleased. From experience, they count on more sales when the holiday season starts in July and the concert date (July 16) gets closer.

As a warm-up, Norwegian actor Nicolay Lange-Nielsen will come to Langesund on Friday 19 June with his acclaimed show "Wolf and angel - a meeting with Leonard Cohen". Some of you may remember him from the Hydra 2002 event. http://www.rakkevite.no/

Leonard himself will also be in Molde on July 17 - another beautiful and quite different area. Not that easy to reach from abroad, but perfect for a tour of the Norwegian west coast and the fjords. This event (Moldejazz) is nearly sold out.
