Which "lesser known" songs do you wish Leonard would play?

I've been following along for a while, patiently waiting until we get to see Leonard here in the States. I've been so jealous that so many countries have seen him on this tour, but finally we get OUR chance! YEA! But here's a question for you all...

As a fan, I always appreciate it when an artist reaches back through his/her catalog for some of the lesser known songs that might have never received their rightful place in the sun. When Leonard next plays in your town, which of these "hidden gems" do you wish he'd play? I'm hoping for "Story of Isaac" from "Songs in a Room". That one seemed lost in the all the attention (rightfully) paid to some of the other songs on that album, most notably Bird On a Wire.

Anyway, what other lesser-known chestnuts would you like to hear?

I'm agree with you in "Story of Isaac"

Other songs lesser-known I like to hear, and the Master don't play when I saw him at Lisboa (last summer) "Dear Heather" (of the Dear Heather album) and "Winter Lady" (of the songs of Leonard Cohen)

I hope he change some songs to this new summer tour (but, sincerely, It won't be a problem if he play the same songs    )

It's not lesser known as such but one song on my Wish List is One of Us Cannot be Wrong. It appears to the side of the Set List for most of the Tour so far. Here's hoping! Then again, whatever we hear is wonderful!!

"Love calls you by your name"!!! And "Dress Rehearsal Rag"! Or perhaps "Master Song", although it is probably quite well-known after all... :D
And I also agree with you that "Story of Isaac" would be great, too...
I will be happy enough, though, if Leonard actually does "Avalanche" in Cologne; so far, I have always managed to miss it somehow...

For me it's hard to say, which songs are lesser known, since all the people that I know, don't know any Cohen songs at all.
Anyway, I'd really love to hear Avalanche in Berlin. That's all that I'm asking for, nothing exotic, just Avalanche and then a bus could run over me and I would die smiling still...

Actually (whose recent change of avatars I have been following with great interest; love your current one... ;-) ),

nothing to add to that! Nothing at all... I had exactly that feeling when he sang "Famous Blue Raincoat" last year. For me? Well, to a certain degree, I think he did... ;-)

No need to tell me, I was lucky enough to hear it at the Beacon ;-)

And I in Prague... :)
Though, after Leonard's Prague concert I would have been smiling for a fortnight 24/7 no matter what he'd sang (oh my, what a terrible sequence of tenses, too much for my long-suffering English - hope you get the idea :D )

Yes, ronnievv, of course- no problem at all! You are obviously very self-reflective, by the way, especially for this time of night! Personally, I probably would not even have noticed the "terrible sequence of tenses"... Sounds fine to me! ;-)

I would love to hear Seems So Long Ago, Nancy. However, I really don't expect it to happen as Leonard hasn't sung it live since the seventies (I think). Another of my lesser known favourites is Ballad of the Absent Mare from the very under rated (imho) Recent Songs album.
