I am surprised that Mr Cohen has not produced CDs just of his poetry & / song lyrics - unless I have missed something here), Hallelujah he reclaimed as his own.

Wouldn't that be great!

Great photo!

I used XNview (get free download) to minimize my pictures, befor I uploaded them here (Hamburg threads). If you keep the proportions and downsixe them to 500 in the first parametre, you will have the best result.
If somebody wants the pics in better qualities, I send them by direct e-mails.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this site as well. Just wanted to say that I agree with most of the comments about the Bournemouth show in that I thought it was the best live gig ive seen and the seats I had in row F block B we're excellent. What I really came on to tell you was that myself, my daughter and her boyfriend met Leonard the next day in the car park near the beach (it was'nt arranged or anything just lucky I guess) where he spoke to us and asked did we enjoy the show, we then all had our picture's taken wih him. My daughter could'nt make up her mind whether this was a better show than the one Manchester. I can tell you she soon made it up when she seen me walking back from the pay and display machine with Leonard Cohen. So all in all that made it a very special few days in Bournemouth and my daughter was well made up. This is a picture of me that next morning in the car park with the man himself.

What a fantastic picture! Your daughter must have got the shock of her life when you turned up with Leonard in tow. I never recognize anyone so would probably have walked straight past him. I remember it being a nice day after the concert so I guess he was out getting some sea air. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Very envious.

Oh man she got the shock her life alright, she could'nt get out of the car quick enough. When we met my wife later (who we'd dropped off shopping in the town), she said 'mum you would'nt believe what dads just done'. She said ' go on whats he done now', she said 'well he went to get some change for the meter and come back with Leonard Cohen'. So now i'm the hero for a change, that aint gona last lol. Post some more pic's when I manage to upload them off hotmail.

GREAT pictures missteyed!!! He's so dapper in what seems to be an AEG Live jacket. The picture of him "looking out to sea" is especially fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Misty eyed - I bet your wife regrets going on a 'shopping trip'!
I was at the Bournemouth concert too but went straight back to Bristol after, wish I'd hung around now!

Wow that makes me so jealous. I'm guessing he may have been on the way to the church in Bournemouth where Shelley's heart is buried. I think he's going the wrong way for where Robert Louis Stevenson and Henry James lived (towards Westbourne I think).

Paula it was well mad, specially after everything that happened that morning. Like taking the wife into the town, and then we was'nt even in that car park when we came back, we was in the one opposite. But then my daughter decided she wanted to go to a cash point, so back into town, then I had a row with a taxi driver while I was waiting because he said I was in a taxi rank. So when I explained I was'nt and even got out the car to prove it to him, he suddenly turned into a traffic warden and told me I was on double yellow lines (I wont put into print what I told him). Mind you, I soon shot off when he got out his phone to call the police. So it was up the road, done a U turn and by this time my daughter had returned and was waiting for me, guess where ? You got it, in the taxi rank. You should seen his face when I pulled over to pick her up. Then on the way back we decided to go and fire some 2p's into the machine's in the amusement arcade, just for old time sake (you know the ones, where you put 3 quid in to win about 28 pence, because most of them get pushed down the side). So thats why we we're in the car park by the beach. But thats not the end, none of the three of us had change for the pay and display and thats what I was returning from getting when our path's crossed. It was all so surreal but what a top bloke, he must have thought I was a right idiot because I think I was blabbering, I can't even remember what I said to him. I'll just never forget my daughters face when she seen me walking back with him. Suppose really it was all down to fate !!!

Misty..

Thank you SO very much for your lovely story and your photos. I originally saved the photo shot of you and Leonard but now the photo of him looking out to sea is so awesome that it is part of "my pictures". I know the experience must have been incredible for you and your family. Talk about serendipity! Thank you again for your exquisite simple sharing of a beautiful moment.
