My world is a darker place today without Leonard in it. I am thankful I got to see him perform and his work will live on - but I am so very sad today. I feel for everyone who loved him as I did. RIP Leonard

Thanks for any consolation that I found in your words and music over the past few decades

If it be your will
That I speak no more
And my voice be still
As it was before
I will speak no more
I shall abide until
I am spoken for
If it be your will
If it be your will
That a voice be true
From this broken hill
I will sing to you
From this broken hill
All your praises they shall ring
If it be your will
To let me sing
From this broken hill
All your praises they shall ring
If it be your will
To let me sing

That you always continue to do so, Leonard.

With love, Thomas

Saddened beyond words. I really can't think of anything eloquent to say.
Along with Leonard a few of my hopes and one of my crazy dreams have gone.

Leonard Has Passed Away

Post by Jeremy »

I will miss knowing the man is among us, but I'm glad his life was a full one, both bitter and sweet as all lives must be.

The music, the words, the sly smile, the deadpan delivery. The terrific courtesy (and the "search me" replies to interviewers' questions).

The gigs - all seven of them - I thought I'd never see, apparently courtesy of Kelley Lynch (some celestial irony there?).

Thanks for all that, Leonard. Sleep tight.

Can't believe the news today of Leonard's passing. What a loss. At least we have his voice forever and ever. What a very special person he was. So sad

Such sad news.

My sincere condolences to Leonard's family, friends and colleagues.

Thank you to Adam and all involved in the making of the latest album.

Most of all, thank you to Leonard for the words and music - with me since 1969 and often a comfort and an inspiration, and for those wonderful concerts - a chance to see and hear him live and store up precious memories for ever.
