Is anyone interested in going to this on Sunday 16th February? If there is enough interest, I could see if the Green Note in Camden will let us have an LC open mic/get together beforehand.
Please pm me...

Re: Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen at the Soho Theatre, Lo
my london - comedian arthur smith - in metro newspaper - feb 14 - interview by sharon lougher.
where was your first london kiss?
at southwark park primary school when i was eight. i kissed a girl called lynne and we were both very shocked. but we quite liked it. but we never did it again.
----
you want a romantic night in london - where would you take someone.
i always offer someone eight choices. the most popular three are a wrestling match; dinner for two at chez bruce in wandsworth common; and the bingo.
---
where's the best place in london to propse?
the pagoda in battersea park. it's just so ridiculous and beautiful. like my fiancee.
---
what's the best spot in london for people-watching?
cafe boheme, iold compton street. although there's often a van parked in front of you.
---
where's the best place to get valentine's day chocolate?
i've got type 2 diabetes, so i'm not advised to go in any chocolate shops. however, cadbury's mini eggs are widely available in many newsagents and if i was getting money from cadbury's i would happily say they are the chocolates of the gods.

We really enjoyed the show.
It was only about an hour long, but well worth the trip in to London.
Very funny, but also quite poignant in parts, and it was good to hear some less common songs such as Last Year's Man and Love Calls You By Your Name performed live.
The Smithereens, his three female backing musicians / singers were wonderful too.
I'm not convinced that the full frontal 'Leonard Nimoy' was entirely necessary though ...

Re: Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen at the Soho Theatre, Lo
Thanks for the report Warthog. Glad you enjoyed the show. You have also helped with my decision whether to book or not - it's really not worth travelling to London from here for a 1 hour show. However, I was pleased to see that the show will be featured on Radio 4 at 23:00 tonight (Monday 17 Feb):

The programme is one hour long so quite possibly features the whole show!

I haven't listened to it yet - but I believe an MP3 file may be in circulation.
