Robert, not pathetic at all. Twitter delivers more links to information that any other source I've ever used and I have been doing this since 1997. You just have to know how to search for it and have a little patience. If you do any searching on the Internet, you have to scroll over 90% of the results as repetitive or irrelevant. Twitter is no different.

Appreciate that Marie.

My "pathetic" comment was aimed at Sturgess and her 'smiley'. Carried over from other threads. Quite childish actually.

Certainly don't need a lecture of the benefits -or otherwise- of Twitter from you or anyone else.

I have acknowledged my appreciation of your original post further up this thread. I do believe I was the first to do so.

good luck leonard.

he'd make a very statesmanlike recipient for the nobel.

btw - an ordained buddhist priest is in the running to receive this year's booker prize for literature.

Ruth Ozeki (born March 12, 1956) is a Canadian-American novelist, filmmaker and Zen Buddhist priest...

The timing of the announcement has been set ages ago.
Nothing special about that anouncement.

The winner is a secret still, if anyone outside the jury knew it would have been all over the net as we speek.

My guess is Alice Munro or maybe Paul Auster.
Or Haruki Murakami.

Don't think there's any chance for Cohen. Or Dylan.
Sorry about that.

And it is....terrific news!

Read her collection "Dear Life" earlier on in the year and thought
it was pretty astonishing. A worthy winner, for sure.

There must be something in the Canadian air :)
