New CBC Music station just for Leonard!

CBC Radio has just launched a new online station called CBC Music. In the singer-songwriter section there is a station called Complete Cohen where you can listen to Leonard and Leonard covers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

At first I've overlooked this amazing information, there is so much to follow at the moment on the Forum... Maybe more specific title eg. - Leonard Cohen Music Station - will draw more attention to this unique initiative ?

I am having a hard time connecting to this. We have Sirius/XM (CBC2 and CBC3 - their employees are no help when I've asked them which of their radio stations play LC - they have referred me to a listing of all their stations, absolutely no help) - does this somehow transfer to this radio format that you are talking about Mary?

I started listening to this last night - it also seems to have a lot of LC covers as well.

.....and Mary B, I have no trouble here in OZ connecting. I think it's just an on line stream. I wish I could help you further - maybe Mary can.

Have been listening from New Zealand.

A mixed bag.

There are quite a few covers played. (Some good, some 'not so much'.)

A lot of variety - and plenty featuring Leonard himself.

Well worth a listen - but I'm happy to be back to listening 'the original'!!

I've never taken an effort to find and listen to many covers of LC,
but now getting them in an attractive mix with the "real work" I am enjoying it.

And with new speakers attached to the computer it is even much more better!
I hope the Complete Cohen Station is to stay on CBC...forever.

Great stuff. I'm not always a fan of covers of Leonard's songs, but I'm hearing many good ones here I'd never heard.

Just listened to "Dance Me To The End of Love" gypsy-style in either Spanish or Italian, fantastic!
