Hello,

This may interest people who have an iPod Classic and want to copy concert videos to their iPod. You can convert Youtube videos to the iPod format at http://www.zamzar.com.

When you open the website you choose "Download Videos". Then you follow the next four steps:
1. Enter the URL address of the video that you want to convert,
for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?=hRn8sjvGObk (this is the URL address of the video of "So Long, Marianne" in Dublin). It is important to copy the capital and small letters correctly.
2. Choose format to convert to (choose ipod).
3. Enter your email address to receive the converted file.
4. Click on "convert"
You will receive the converted file by email after a few minutes or a few hours, depending on how busy they are at Zamzar.
When you've received the email you can download and save the converted file to your computer and copy it to your iPod Classic (or another type of iPod that plays videos).

Good luck.
Love,
Inge

Backstage Hamilton Interview

Post by trip108 »

This may be up somewhere on the site already but a cursory glance didn't find it, so I thought I'd post this link of a backstage interview with Leonard after one of the Hamilton shows that I just found. Enjoy!

Not sure... watching the "Hallejujah" video there doesn't appear to be the re-introductions that LC did during the last song so I'm guessing that NME is right in the order they list... that said, I don't remember the three songs being together in the middle of the set (Tower of Song, Suzanne, Hallejujah) though they might have been as all three have been posted.

EDIT: Full version of "Dance Me..." http://youtube.com/watch?v=D2D_w0ORVz0

thanks, the entire set is now up, with Leonard's bowing out, too. i just love him/his music to death, so doing this was a service, not a chore. pity i truncated several numbers - i was worried about my camera's chip capacity. if i used too much the whole lot could have been lost. oh woe! :-)

search on youtube using 'leonard cohen glastonbury'. enjoy. and god bless the world and all, or most, who sail in - or is that on - her.

Lots of people, who love "Famous Blue Raincoat," haven't had the luck to see it this tour. I hoped somebody with savvy would share a teaser of it, a taste in advance of the tour DVD, but I don't think it's happened. So, here is a link to the lowest ("phone") quality clip you can imagine, featuring F.B.R's tour debut on the 18th of June:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S0PBD07F (5mb)

How great will the DVD be, professionally recorded, after Leonard's given the song a few more outings!? :)

A big Thank You for sharing that. It's just recently that I returned to FBR and I keep listening to it over and over again. I'm hoping it will show up at the concert I'm attending.

Shurley this must be one of the most poignant moments on the tour so far. He asks her to be his wife as Leonard sings "I'm Your Man". Best of all she appears to accept!!!!!!.
Amazing that they can tell their children that they agreed to spend the remainder of their lives together at a concert given by the Artist of our times.

That's amazing, and appears entirely coincidental that the guy behind was filming. We'd better keep this idea quiet or future performances might be ruined by shrieks from all over the place :)

I thought it looked staged. Please remember that the inspirerer of these marital sentiments never married. Probably, wisely.

Hello- I saw Leonard Cohen in concert at Glace Bay and made a slideshow from the pictures I took at this great performance. If you'd like to take a look, click here.
http://www.photodex.com/sharing/viewsho ... 3253&alb=0
It's big so it might take a while to load. Also, you may have to install a plug-in from Photodex, but I think it's worth it! Right-click to open in a new window and again for full screen view. Thanks, UncleLC

Last night at Amsterdam I filmed a few songs.
I had a very simple photo-camera, so the quality isn't the best, but it catches the mood.

most are just bits of songs, I got first we take Manhattan completely (some shots off the audience as well. My camera is a shaking a bit at that one, but you can't keep still with when you hear that song!)
