This is outrageous too
This is outrageous too
On the ticket confirmation email I got from Ticketmaster, it says, 'Tickets will be despatched as soon as possible, but may not be received until 7-10 days before the event.' I think that's another way of trying to stop anyone from selling the tickets they can't use, isn't it?
Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to come up with the goods. I've paid my money, I want my stuff!

My tickets have arrived for Manchester but it is not uncommon for them to arrive later.

they generally say that as standard to cover themselves and also to stop customers ringing up every week if they haven't received their tickets bought several months in advance.
Re: This is outrageous too
I got my Edinburgh tickets last week, I was quite surprised that they arrived so long before the gig. Nice to have them but makes me paranoid about losing them!
Re: This is outrageous too
I remember worrying over that disclaimer too but I did get my ticket for the Toronto concert today, after ordering it on the 15th. Such a relief. Stressing over it and getting it 7-10 days before event would have been awful, as I would have not felt comfortable ordering airline tickets without concert tickets in hand!Bela wrote:On the ticket confirmation email I got from Ticketmaster, it says, 'Tickets will be despatched as soon as possible, but may not be received until 7-10 days before the event.' Re: This is outrageous too
Thank you, all, very much. Things are looking a little bit brighter today.
I didn't choose the option of receiving the tickets by email, b/c I thought a charge of £2.00 for an email was even more disgusting than one of £2.25 for something that's going to cost them 34p, and because some people had complained they'd had real problems printing those tickets.
Thanks again!

Re: This is outrageous too
There are no tickets in the mailbox yet for the O2 does anyone have any yet sent from the great ticket master? Or will we just have to wait and wait till almost the day of the event , sweating on the Royal Mail getting it right as well. Looking forward but I won't be content until the tickets are in my mitts.
Re: This is outrageous too
My ticket for Manchester arrived last week but my ticket for the 02 concert hasn't arrived yet.
However if you log onto Ticketmaster and go to 'My Ticketmaster' and you click on 'more order details' it tells you whether your tickets have been dispatched or not.
Also with the Manchester ticket I did get an email beforehand saying that it had been dispatched, so I don't think anyone need worry about getting their tickets from Ticketmaster hopefully.

Mnkyface I paid extra for Fed-ex and received my Toronto tickets in two days. Give them a call at ticketmaster; they are very helpful.

Re: This is outrageous too
My tickets for Manchester (so much to answer for) arrived pronto! But I remember once when I booked for Bob Dylan chasing the tickets which only arrived the week of the concert.

Re: This is outrageous too
That's not outrageous. What's outrageous is Cohen going to small, under-900 person venues and forcing his fans to clamor for tickets. I don't understand why he didn't go into the larger venues. I get the whole intimacy thing, but I also get the whole ostrasization thing. And all the small venues screwed everyone, too. Here in Fredericton, there were 200 people waiting outside and half of them didn't get tickets, the website died so almost nobody got tickets that way, and the phones were plugged. What happened to the 700+ tickets? Let us factor in all the people who had first dibs on Wednesday, which was ,maybe 100 or so people. I know someone who works there and they got tickets for them and five friends. Multiply that by basically all the employees, and there's your answer.
