Nice banner! LOL!
The concert at the Westerpark in Amsterdam was one of the best I ever been!
Nice to see so many Cohen addicts there!
I'm looking forward to Leonard's concert in Berlin and Hamburg!

Post by Stefan from A' dam »

Dear people,

I found an ad in yesterdays newspaper: Leonard Cohen in Ahoy, Rotterdam 3 November, tickets on sale: 26th of July!!

Anyone heard about this? The date is not yet mentioned on leonardcohenfiles.com, although there will be a fall tour.

It took me some time to figure out how to show the pictures that I made in Amsterdam. You can see them at

I hope it works.
I was standing front row and could almost taste Leonard. Hmmm, that would have been nice ;-)
Enjoy them.

Wasn't in the right position to take good pictures of Leonard Cohen, so I took more pictures of the crowd and the merchandise: http://www.flickr.com/photos/midnightco ... nardcohen/

Hello all,

just wanted to let you know that one last article about the Amsterdam concert has appeared on the internet (in German):
http://www.spirit-fanzine.de/index2.htm

then click on "Heroes", then on: "New! Leonard Cohen" .

Is anyone also going to go to Oberhausen? If so, see you there, maybe!

Hi Maurice,
you're welcome!
Yes, I hope to meet some of you fellow-Cohenites in Oberhausen, too! Just let us arrange something at the end of October; we could go for that Irish pub that has been suggested, for example, but we should probably transfer the discussion to the "Oberhausen meetup"-thread!
Oh, I SO much hope that Leonard is going to sing "Avalanche", "Famous Blue Raincoat" and "Gypsie Wife" in Oberhausen, too... ;-)

A 13-minute MP3 entitled 20080713_Leonard_KohenConcert_Amsterdam can be heard here: http://radiozamaaneh.com/azadeh/2008/07/post_117.html
Sounds like a reportage with impressions of concert-goers & fragments of songs from studio releases.

That is a handsome photo set. And she actually managed to get quite a few that show Leonard's eyes, which isn't so common, given the double challenge to a photographer of the shadow of the hat brim and Leonard's way of closing his eyes at moments of lyrical intensity.
