What on earth would you need a third person for ???lizzytysh wrote:Hi Henning ~
Do you know whether the ETAP or the Ibis allow an additional person, or is two per room the max at those?

It's my first post here.
I happen to have stayed at this ETAP hotel last summer. In each room, they have bunk beds: A double bed with a single bed across it. The shower is in a cabin, the sink is in the room. Since it has opened recently, it was very OK at the time, and it's well located. Technically, there is room for three persons to sleep in one room, if two share the double bed.
I wouldn't order their breakfast again, though, as they have absolutely no fresh produce, not even plain yoghurt. I think you may have a much better choice at Potsdamer Platz, in neighbouring cafés or by going to the supermarket, also quite close.
Hope this helps a bit.

Welcome to the Forum, by the way, Cx ! I was so glad to have the info, I forgot to include that.
Will you be going to the Berlin Event? If so, which hotel will you be choosing ? One of those "Do as I say, not as I do?" inquiries . Seriously, have you seen the others, at all? Any input on them?
Thanks.

For those who prefer a social breakfast, I recommend to choose the breakfast at IBIS-Hotel or at Cafe Stresemann. It is possible to sleep in ETAP or SUITE and have breakfast in the IBIS Hotel. I suggest to make a decision by the time of the arrival in Berlin, after you have checked the locations and the offers.
