There don't seem to be many film songs here so here is 'Nobody Knows' by Kim Carnes from 'Vanishing Point.' The film itself seems to have a cult following nowadays.

Re: Vanishing Point
Thanks Tony --- that was very nice indeed. And I am sure you would have recognized the opening bars were very Johnny Cashesque !
Re: Vanishing Point
Kush, I have to admit that I didn't notice at first but now that you have pointed it out it does clearly show. Perhaps I was aware of it subconsciously!
The time around 1971 was a good period for road films with 'Duel' and 'Two Lane Blacktop' also appearing.

Hi Tony,
I will have to check out these movies, I have not seen any of them. My favorite road movie is Midnight Run with Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin.
Here is a song from the movie The Descendants with George Clooney...not a road movie.

What a happy song! Even though I didn't understand the words it still comes across as happy. I have not seen the film but I will certainly look out for it.
I really enjoyed 'Midnight Run.' Apart from being a gripping film, the dry humour in it made me laugh out loud. I still have the VHS video! Perhaps it will become a collector's item!
