Love this song Tony...never heard this Liam Clancy version.

Always thought Liam did Eric Bogle's, 'And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda' with great feeling.

Also love 'Fiddlers Green'

Irish Folk at it's best.

Are these still the days? Nice one Tony, and Karren - I especially enjoyed Fiddler's Green. On the sea theme, another stirring one I just found from Clancy, the Phil Coulter song Home From the Sea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGwW2N51kK8

Speaking of Irish legends, I have tix to see Finbar Furey in London in November.

Nice song Diane.

Another Irish legend I like is the wonderful Luke Kelly.
Scorn Not His Simplicity is a beautiful song also written by Phil Coulter which Kelly does with great emotion.

I'm sure you'll enjoy Finbar Furey. Union Chapel is a great venue. I was there a few weeks ago listening to the wonderful Rosanne Cash.

Thanks for sending me on a little youtube tour, Karren. Rosanne Cash does have a beautiful voice. I just heard her Pancho and Lefty (by TVZ)...and that led me to another live version of same by Willie Nelson, with Bob Dylan - nice to see him respecting the boot-prints on his coffee table:

Had to come here to post The Green Fields of France (written by Eric Bogle). Expecting Finbar to do this one next week.
