Let Us Compare Mythologies.

Postby Andrew McGeever » Wed Jul 17, 2002 5:05 pm

Does anyone have a copy of "Let Us Compare Mythologies"? (as if!!).
Or, more realistically, does anyone know if any subsequent re-print is in stock? I can pay, but my means (poetic and otherwise) are limited. The same applies to the album "Six Montreal Poets".
Are these requests realistic, or am I just a dreamer?

where to find the sold-out books

Postby jarkko » Wed Jul 17, 2002 6:26 pm

Go to http:///www.bookfinder.com and make a search
for the book. The cheapest copy of the 2nd edition (1966)
costs 35 USD, while the rare 1956 first edition starts from
850 USD. -- All other poetry compilations can be found
in the same way!

Jarkko, thanks for your replies and the links.
$850 for a first edition=a holiday in Hydra.
Right now, I can't afford either!
Ah, but when I retire.....

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of (clears throat and takes a huge breath) Spice Box, Flowers for Hitler, Let Us Compare...anything beside Death of a Lady's Man, The Favourite Game, Beautiful Losers, or Stranger Music? $850 is quite out of the question- that's how much I pay for rent.

That's a lot for rent! The only thing I've seen is people being pointed to the various sites for purchasing books, i.e. Amazon and all those others.

*laugh* yeah, but everything is included, so it's not that bad. :D
I picked up Death of a Lady's Man for five dollars at a used book store, I'm hoping I'll get a few more lucky breaks.

Hi Aisling,
That puts it in perspective....thanks. Don't know what a "Whew~" emoticon would be, so I'll just use the word.
Anyway, I've just PM'd you with an idea.

I buyed Death Of A Lady's Man new in english book store here in Croatia. I thought it is still in print. Price about 100 kunas = 12, 13 $, 10 pounds. And both novel are abailable in new editions. That's what I know, the early poetry is out of print for 30 years:-)
