LEONARD COHEN - Hamburg, 02 World, 14 July 2013

This is my recording of Leonard Cohen's FANTASTIC show at the O2 World in Hamburg, Germany on 14 July, 2013. The recording is excellent!

Recording conditions were a bit difficult because the audience was VERY enthusiastic between songs. Since some of the songs were very quiet, it was really difficult to decide what to do with this recording to make it listenable. I decided AGAINST massive level adjustment because it would have ruined the natural flow of the recording. I went for a compromise which is, in my opinion, acceptable. Some of the songs are still a little bit on the quiet side, but the sound of the music on this recording is really good!!

LINEAGE: Edirol R-09 + Soundman OKM II R mics > audacity (minor level adjustment) > CD wave (track splits) > FLAC ( level 8 )

Goldin is on his travels so, in his absence, I will note that several new shows have been uploaded to Dime in the last couple of weeks. In addition, a third version of the show at Paris Bercy on June 18 has been uploaded by emmanuel.

There's a guy in the uk who calls himself ' frankie lee' who specialises in making and flogging bootleg compilations , usually of Bob Dylan concerts.
I recieved an email from him about a 4 cd compilation of leonard cohen 2013.
Some members might be interested , but i'm unsure whether i'm breaking any forum rules by reproducing the email below.
If so , moderators , please delete this .
i stress i have no connection with ' Mr . Lee' , other than being on a mailing list

(The email deleted by administrator - we don't support commercial bootlegs sold to make money / Jarkko)

I may be wrong but i suspect it may be against forum rules to feature something which is being sold for profit as this compilation CD is. No doubt the mods will advise.

Looking at the shows from which these tracks are taken, the guy must be getting these recordings from Dime. If so, he is abusing the generosity of the people who share their recordings via Dime by selling them for profit IMHO. I wonder how many other people there are out there who are using Dime recordings to make money?

I speak from the heart.
