Sadly, this version comes with some serious disclaimers but at least it's an offering unless/until something better becomes available. Meanwhile, I am hoping that the upload of Barcelona will flush out recordings from Madrid and Lisbon!

Seconded. What a treat! Can't wait to compare this with the Paris night I was able to get to.

At the risk of being greedy this way, is there a channce of this being made available in an uncompressed/lossless format?

This is great, rpan - very handy, especially for those of us not into Dime. Thank you both very much.

(Hope you might be able to do the same for at least one of the Dublin concerts?)

Gvataper recording of whole of Dublin Sep 15 I have put up on Mediafire in mp3, hope the recorder does not mind me making available for those not into this Torrent and FLAC stuff. This one is individual tracks, a bit more fiddly to download I am afraid, will maybe zip it up also shortly.

.... sorry, as this seems to have broken protocol and caused upset, I have taken link down here.

I am not sure that mp3 format with severe compression and two second gaps between tracks is the best way to enjoy Leonard Cohen live recordings, neither am I sure that Gvataper would have given his permission for this exercise. Personally, I would be very unhappy if anyone re-uploaded any of my torrents without permission, and especially so if they were uploaded as mp3s.

Do what you like for personal use but please don't do this for public consumption.

Thanks

I concur with raincoat1's post - it is not usual to convert and distribute the flac recording from dimeadozen in mp3 format. Here in this Forum section we already removed all 2010 recordings which were converted into mp3 and put to mediafire, Rapidshare etc.

First, it is not usual practice to share audience recordings in mp3 but in flac, and dimeadozen tapers are asking all members not to do that, especially not without the permission of the taper. Secondly, all torrents and rapidshare-like links are considered as copyright infringement by the label and as it was told many times in this section, we are avoiding to link it in posts otherwise this Forum could be in legal problems.

That means, I am also converting all flacs to mp3 for my iPod and smartphone, for my private use... but distributing the recording in mp3 instead of flac means polluting the collector's circles with lesser quality versions and copies, that's why only flac is considered acceptable. And if you're giving it as gift to somebody, flac is easily converted/burtned into audio CDRs with one click of the mouse.

I've just uploaded to Dime the first of Holydove's Gent recordings - Gent 2012-08-12 so Leonard's first show of the tour. If you search for +Leonard +Cohen + Holydove, you should find it.

This was my first ever Dime upload. I had many issues (and much downloading of some software tools) trying to get it to work last night but all the problems seem to be resolved now. I don't have great bandwith but the upload is seeding nicely.

Should anyone have comments on how I uploaded it and the information provided, please let me know. But any praise for the quality of the recording should be directed at holydove :D

I have two more Gent concerts to load, followed by some from Dublin. I'll upload those as soon as I can.
