'Listen to the stories
Men tell of last year
That sound of other places
Though they happened here'
(Leonard Cohen)
Listen to the doorbell
Listen to the knock
Listen to the memories
Of the ticking clock
Listen to the moments
That envelop us now
Listen to every question asked
Every why and how
Listen to the snowclad peaks
Listen to the sea
Listen to every word unsaid
Between you and me
Listen to the laughter loud
Listen to the smile
Listen to the whimper
As you walk a lonely mile
Listen to the thundercloud
Listen to the rain
Listen to the rainbow colours
Listen once again
Listen to the men who lived
Before the world was born
Listen to the men who’ll live
On every future morn
Listen to the beating heart
Listen to the cry
Listen to the teardrops
That fell but now are dry
Listen to the silence
Listen now and here
Listen to the voice within
Listen everywhere
Listen to the stories
That men will never tell
The stories of the lonesome heroes
Who fought on, but fell.......

A worthy tribute. I may be accused of blasphemy, but it's almost as though you channeled LC and he gave his permission to add to "Listen to the Hummingbird."

I second that blasphemy. Very nice indeed.its4inthemorning wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 3:31 pm A worthy tribute. I may be accused of blasphemy, but it's almost as though you channeled LC and he gave his permission to add to "Listen to the Hummingbird."
