I was just about to post this separately and as last time for September 21, 1934 -
I thought if you don't mind I would join you again

I didn’t know if I wanted to formally acknowledge this and resisted as much as I could. But it seems I have no control over these matters because here I am again, once more giving my imperfect offering to the perfect memory of Leonard. No “Smile of Light” this year but there still is light in the darkness. I couldn’t decide which of his words to use to convey the feeling of my image. I actually started with a definite line in mind but as I worked on the design it took on a life of its own with other words coming to me. So, I’ll give over to Leonard to blacken this page with them for me now, starting with his first poetry book and ending with his last which is also on the new album.

And may my bronze name
touch always her thousand fingers
grow brighter with her weeping
until I am fixed like a galaxy
and memorised
in her secret and fragile skies

As shadowy particles in streams of light ~ Wishing Window
I take my life from realms of light ~ Coming Back
So now I sail from sky to sky and all the blackness sings ~ Fire

In streams of light I clearly saw, the dust you seldom see ...
The flecks did float and dance, and I was tumbled up with them ...

And he’s there where the light and the darkness divide ~ Ballad of the Absent Mare

But it’s bright the dying spark ~ Happens To The Heart

.... And I doubly detest this passage in time because my mother passed away a week before Leonard on the same day of the week. And now on a more optimistic note, tomorrow is another day

Ah Hartmut, now you’ve said that it surely does remind me of many happy and frustrating times we all had years ago when we played a certain game about matching images to LC’s lines .... Seems its essence still lives within me
