Like Prey

As I look into his eyes
I can't help but notice the green flecks
and I wonder if they have some purpose.
Like moth's wings which freighten predators.
I think of all this as my heart turns and runs,
from those eyes which hunt me down,
like prey

The beauty and the beguile of eyes. It seems I've looked into those same eyes, yet the flecks were gold . I enjoyed the way you turned the perceptions around so quickly.
