Lenard

Post by C.Tauc »

Our friend takes you down to the bottom of his soul
You can hear his spirit breathing
You can touch the inmost Feeling
And you know, he’s a bit crazy

-Yet still you simply trust him-
And he feeds you with the beauty
And he fills you with the sorrow

And just when you mean to tell him
You don’t have the strength to follow
He gets you on his wavelength
And he lets the river answer:
“You’re longing for the Lord”

And you want to travel with him
And you want to travel blind
And you hope he also trusts you
For you touch his longing spirit with your mind

You know we are just sailors
Fighting against the sea waves
And we’ve spend a long time watching
In our only lonely mirror

Understanding once by daybreak
There’s no way of hiding from Him,
Who said: "All men ’ll be the sailors,
Till they’ll turn back on my ark.”

And Lens mind touches the skyline
While the heaven slightly opens
And his feather black’ning paper
Fills with speedy, speedy sparkle of his words

So we want to travel with him
So we want to travel blind
‘Cause we know, we’ve always loved him,
For he’s touched our longing spirit with his light.

Our friend prefers smart hats and suits
Made by a tailor. In rags and in feathers
You will never ever meet him
But deep inside keeps sneering
His hippie-Heart par excellence

And his hands are now wide open
And the curse is nearly broken
And his feather black’ning paper
Fills with speedy, speedy fluid of his words.

Bright chords are never leaving
The autumn insights breathing
The ripening grapes of life
Teach again to gain the smile
While Wisdom holds the mirror

And he wants to travel with You
And he wants to travel blind
And he hopes, he hopes to meet You
For You feed his longing spirit – as his Friend.

Lenard goes his way as an almost lonesome bard
He turns towards the light
Dances the dance of Love
Until he’ll cross the Threshold,
Diving into the Beauty - walking Home

While his hands are wide open
And the chains forever broken
Keep his feather black’ning paper
The speedy, speedy sparkle of his words.
