Hi Johann,
Your lessons are your own on that experience. It's not me, either. I only commented that [per the application of the borrowed style], I don't believe it's Ev. As far as I'm concerned, it's most likely to be P.C. taking on a new identity. After all, after being triple-teamed, the best defense is a good offense, even on one's former self. Identification with the aggressor is another possibility. I'm not even so sure I could do as well as whoever-it-is did on it. I only know that I don't think it was Ev...and I know it wasn't me. The last time I did something like that was [literally] in Composition 101 when I first entered college. If I had, I'd have taken "credit" for it ~ good, bad, or otherwise. Taking risks is a good thing, which for me the Haiku attempts constituted. However, I still owned them. Doing something under another name is taking no risk at all.

That's what I figured, Ev. It just didn't sound like you.

Lizzytysh,

I have read your edited post. I see you have added four more lines to your original reply to me. You seem to go to great lengths to deny that you are the author of the Ministry of Liturature post.

In my country we have a saying, (borrowed from the English):

"Methink, the lady doth protest too much."

Hi Johann,
Actually, the saying is borrowed from Macbeth, as I recall; Shakespeare, for sure.

Of course it's Shakespeare. I was not seeking instruction. I was making a point.

Why do you deny writing the Ministry of Literature post?

I should have written: Why did you find it necessary to again deny you are the author of the Ministry of Literature post?

Good Heavens, Johann, are we still on this?

Hmm, let me see, I'm denying having written that piece because I didn't write that piece. If you knew me better, you would know that when I say something and mean it, you can tell that I mean it by the way I say it. If I don't mean it, you can tell that, too. I'm pretty straightforward in that regard. Perhaps putting this in context will allow for some clarification.

The conceptual leap [someone else here has used that phrase, and it's one I've used for years myself, as it's something that seems to occur so often] you made regarding my use of the Edit function in order to add to my Post being "protesting too much" and, hence, further proof of my alleged authorship, was huge. The Edit function and I became buddies long ago [October 2001]. I use it for a number of reasons, including clarification or addition when I feel I haven't made the point, that I'd originally wanted to make, to my own satisfaction; giving a more comprehensive/complete answer; adding details that I realized afterward that I'd left out; adding additional thoughts; etc.

However, I've yet to use it to create or thicken a smoke screen of denial regarding something I did. It's simply not my style for relating to the world, and even though this Forum [and other arenas] constitutes a rather oddly unique, and in some cases, uniquely odd, corner of "my world," my style remains the same. By the way, attributing to Shakespeare didn't equal additional denial; I simply bypassed the issue, and made certain that at least with him, credit would be given where credit is due. [See? Here I go again, giving a serious reply. :) ]

As you know, you remain free to believe as you will, and that's okay. Your perceptions and beliefs neither determine my parameters, nor define my reality ~ nor mine yours. So, I guess that crystallizes into "Believe what you will....." It's all good..... :D

All good things,

To the incarnation of the smallest fire,
Which we devote our lives to so often.

One intrinsicality,
A lifeblood that sustains--
Even wings it gives,
Or so seem they, until they perish.
Biting winds of disuse often drive them this way
Into that clay-cold world of words.
That is perhaps what causes the actions
To appear as mere scars.

Once these are left to ruin
The converse is then realized,
This will bind you to yourself--
To the keen sickening
In the pit of concious thought.
Those who believe in escape
Can, and likely will be crushed.

So many have sat idle,
Wringing the blood out of their hearts
Till they lay lifeless and still
Never having known what,
Or who it was they loved.

Reason will watch on, nearby
With eyes that are cracked with age
Receeding into the ashen dust.
And the inborn self stands...
Facing the light.

I fall to my knees--
Too weak to stand
Shards of intensity rake across my vision,
Tearing the sky before me
Into strands of reddened emotion.
Painting a beautiful picture indeed.

Like a statue
Created of ice
The tears that course down my face,
Are the very essence of my being
Wasted-- as they glitter in the sunlight.
My dwelling is now amongst the spines and thorns.
The incommunicable pain
Becomes a solace.
The shade comforts me no longer.

But inferiority,
Even total lack,
Acts merely as a parched riverbed
In which the azure flow
Winds it's sparkling way back,
In a blaze of light and fury,
Into the sea from whence it came.
Just as the moon sets before the sun rises,

On the face of one...

Sitting at the edge of a lake,
As birdsong darts in and out of the warmth
Along a glorious emerald lanscape
Where stones themselves speak in hushed tones.
No longer I yearn,
No longer I aspire to reach,

To the incarnation of the smallest fire,
Which we devote our lives to so often.

For I have been given the rest,
Of which the zeal and ardor of a thousand souls,
Could not speak.

Dear Ev, I have left this correction for the last 16 years in the hope that you would realise and apologise to the forum.

I can not leave this matter any longer

But inferiority,
Even total lack,
Acts merely as a parched riverbed
In which the azure flow
Winds it's sparkling way back,
In a blaze of light and fury,
Into the sea from whence it came.
Just as the moon sets before the sun rises,

"it's" means "it is", and your blunder spoils an otherwise marvellous piece.

love

Sue

There are some people in this world who need a good ironing out, in my straightforward opinion.
