The Secret's

Post by George.Wright »

the secret's of the stars
is buried somewhere under the blood red dust of the planet Mars
no need to go there with total recall
your mind will realise the truth of it all
a glistening cap made of pure gold
a pyramid replicated in the days of old
a station on the travels across space
a technology unheard of in the whole human race
and hidden in the hyroglyphics on the pyramid here
you may want to go but your body will fear
the riddle of the spinx and the cats do know
white gold dust, the ark of the covenant, electromagnetics and absolutes do show
travelling faster than the speed of light
the third eye sees and the mass is slight
riddles and secret's of the ancients, recall
the pride of man before the fall
and just when we think we have seen it all
the mysteries are unveiled under the red planet dust shawl

Dear George

Adam and Eve
Should be reprieved
Was that bird eating?
So many honey bees?
Man was surely not the first?
Blame the bible
on the Bees and Birds

I liked it
The Grand Controller of all Living Things and Cuplets

Hey Ben~

What's a "cuplet"? Is that a 'small cup' or do you mean a 'couplet', i.e. two successive lines of verse, usually paired & often rhyming?

Makera, Ben must be referring to the Tarot.

.. Mr. Harry S., I think you, of all of us here, should commence an investigation into the plausibility of this apostrophe conspiracy you've just unearthed... Good luck with that...

... in the meantime, Georges, my love... I thought I'd go over your poem a bit and change it as it occurs to me to do so, since I like it a lot, even though I don't understand a lot of it (which is sort of intriguing to me about your poetry, and why I wish you'd write more)... anyway, my sweet, see if you like my changes... you might not like all of them.. but see... (if you don't like them you can always, well, spank me if you need to on our other thread..).. (my love)... you have a wonderful imagination... so I'm just tweaking it a bit... and seeing if I can't further fathom some of your thoughts so to make them a bit more comprehensible (at least to me)...

… so here goes…

The Secrets

the secrets of the stars
buried beneath the blood red dust of planet Mars
require not of us one’s total recall
the mind's eye discerning the truth withal:
a glistening cap made of pure white gold
a pyramid conveying much stranger days than told
a station on the travels across this blackest space
a technology unknown, divined not by human race
and hidden in the hieroglyphs, on this pyramid here
where the mind dares travel, even mired in fear
the riddle of the sphinx, as the cats do know
white-gold-dust-the ark-of-the-covenant-electromagnetism-and-absolutes
all aglow
all traveling faster than the speed of light
what the third eye sees when the mass is slight
for such unearthed secrets of the ancients here enthrall
the resplendent side of man before his terminal Fall
… all here be now unveiled from under this
red planet dust shawl…

Georges, 2003… with some pruning and re-planting from his beloved
v i o l e t (flower).. (xxx)

edit.. just thought I'd remove the parentheses I was using..

extra apostrophes are risky things - it's good that a certain lord no longer comes here or Georges would have a very red bottom.

This was a fun read Georges. I like spacey/ Ray Bradburyishy / ancient mystery thingies ... lots of room for the readers imagination here.

 edited to correct my incorrect thingies

excellent observation, mike. (i notice from your new name that you are a twin peaks fan!) don't forget also, that 'thingys' should be 'thingies'.
