La Di Dah
Re: La Di Dah
Still I remember you well
in that Holiday hotel
you lent me your player
which I needed to lay her
Now we just have to watch
the boys in the match
since we've become older
and our bellies got bolder
Though the heart is still cooking
we're aware of our looking
no more whiskeys, no more rum
all we need is "DooDumDum"

Re: La Di Dah
those women only crowd around so they can taunt me.
btw mate, my belly has got even smaller this year and I am at my lightest weight for 10 years. this is not necco. a good thing and it may be because I became a veggie last December (on Safari and did a deal with all the animals there that if they don't eat me...).
ok predictions for tonight
Spain 1- Russia 1 aet
Russia win 4-3 penalties.
your turn, prize for the closest - 1 front row seat, centre block, for Leonard's gig at Vatican City yesterday.

Re: La Di Dah
Good on you with that animal deal - I have to find something for myself. I predict a 0-0 at half time. It's so much easier to say something about the result after the final whistle - so grant me an hour or so. Thanks Mate.

H, Spain were GOOD! Germany are a resourceful team with a habit, (as you kindly pointed out with a comparison to useless England) of success. But my money (if I had any) would be on Les Spaniards, OLE! (loses its effect when I don't know how to put the accent thingy over the E)

Hey Michael,
Are you surprised at your popularity - surely not - we admire you greatly.
And we bless your work on behalf of the under privel-aged, like myself.
Simply to be the recipient of your words, positive or negative, bestows a glow beyond explanation.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the generosity of your inattention.
Fast falls the night, the darkness deepens,
Lord (Michael) with me abide!
God bless,
William

Hi Mike - speaking of dairy products and just out of random curiousity, what kind of ice cream do you have in your freezer?

I am not much of an ice cream fan but I like pistachio, or perhaps c nut , all mixed up. Cashew is not everyones taste but I find it surprisingly sweet and I recommend you try it, Cate.Cate wrote:Hi Mike - speaking of dairy products and just out of random curiousity, what kind of ice cream do you have in your freezer?

Might be an okay occasional indulgence.
Re: La Di Dah
I saw highlights of some game.
(Germany - Turkey I think.)
I saw beautiful combinations
-- like Stahlber's in chess.
(--Gideon Stahlber was said to have been
"the best combination player of all time
- the best at combining chess with alcohol")
And, I admit, I enjoyed those highlights.
Although it took 3 minutes from my life
which I will never be able to recover.
So tell me: how does any normal non-catatonic human being
sit through the other 87 minutes of these so-called "games"?
And how come these catatonics look so orgasmic?
~~
There used to be web sites where a bunch of little thingies
would follow the cursor around on the screen.
And when the cursor stopped, they'd cluster tightly around it.
(Hence the term "cluster f***" coined by Ed Sanders.)
And when you moved the cursor again they'd try to
keep up with it. So you could spend an enjoyable
3 minutes of an afternoon playing with it. Trying
to get the cursor to escape the little thingies.
Or trying to confuse them by charging into
the center of the swarm.
It had a bit of the feel of a video game about it.
Except that, as there was no point to it at all,
the thrill didn't last very long. So today
you hardly ever come across those kinds of sites anymore.
And yet, today, two whole so called 'sophisticated' nations,
- Germany and Spain - and others -- will, or already have,
come to a dead halt just to watch what is in essence exactly
nothing more than that kind of cursor-following cluster-f***
thingy!
And therefore here's my prediction;
It doesn't matter how it turned out (or will turn out).
There won't be any points at all, on either side.
Because the thing IS TOTALLY POINTLESS!
You don't even get to move the cursor yourself!
(Although I'm sure they try to-- by yelling at it.)
In the future, when these so-called-"football" playing nations
have another 90 minutes which they have no idea what to do with,
may I suggest that they read through 2 or 3 of my medium-length
posts instead. It may not even take that long. And nobody will lose
and feel bad. And nobody will win and get drunk and smash things up.
(At least I don't think anybody reacts that way to my posts.
Or, if they do, then that's not the way I meant them.)
The USA will always be #1, because our games are
so sensibly derived from the careful observation of warfare,
rather than from the totally confused understanding of what
hyperkinetic drunk children actually do acomplish on playgrounds.
