‘Book of Mercy’ interview in Edmonton 1984

Post by jarkko »

My name is Elliott and I’m a producer with CKUA Radio. I hope you are doing well on what has been a difficult week for Leonard Cohen fans.

I wanted to share a Leonard Cohen interview with you that I recently found in our archives. It was record in 1984 in Edmonton, Alberta. Mr. Cohen was in Edmonton promoting ‘Book of Mercy’. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to share it on The Leonard Cohen Files website if you’d like.

It’s such a deep, thoughtful discussion of faith, doubt, and humanity.

Best,

Elliott Garnier I Senior Producer

Thank you very much Elliott and Jarkko for sharing this. Most of what he said here is familiar from other interviews he was giving at the time, but it is such a pleasure listening to him talking about Book of Mercy and everything else.
