We've all been waiting for the Tour Announcement and Date details, before considering a booking for Hydra.
Given that it will be a first come first served, ticket allocation, to registered members, with the 'password' to apply for tickets, and given that by the time I finish writing this particular piece, there will be nearly 1,000 ( One Thousand ) newly registered members since the Tour was announced in the middle of January, I believe that the prospect of enjoying a week on Hydra has suddenly become more prominent in my busy ticket queuing schedule.
I have to be realistic and say that snowballs in hell, pigs flying, and a woman Pope, are all as likely to be seen by me as receiving a ticket, in the light of a en masse surge to swamp ticket allocation agencies.
I shall study flights for Athens with renewed vigour and begin choosing a lovely hotel by the harbour on Hydra.

I know what you mean Byron if it is fingers on buzzers for the tickets I am not holding my breath. Hydra is calling perhaps Leonard could stop off at Rolly's for a drink before carrying on with the rest of his tour?

Well, this is certainly a safe place to have a private conversation away from the maddening crowd... or was that the mongering horde ;-) ?

I have my own thoughts on all this, but I'll keep them to myself for now... unless you twist my arm. If you wait too long, I'm going to end up telling you, anyway, though. Be warned.

Great idea, Paula... old times at Roloi's... "and one for Leonard, please."

The number of views on this thread [as soon as I click out of here] will be at 869. Let's see how long it takes to rocket up to 1,769 or 1,869  . If we made the bet big enough, perhaps, we could all afford tickets, no matter where we get them.

You are not wrong Lizzie I think you me and Byron will have this thread to ourselves. I can't imagine any one new coming on here unless they accidently press the wrong button.

Grab a pew a nice mythos and we can have a quiet chinwag in the sun.

Just butting in here out of badness since I'm not welcome anywhere else!! It seems I'm now out of step with the true, lifelong fans, who have been perusing here for years. Oh well! I think I hear the sound of Sirens calling me to Hydra.

Stay in here with us Damellon they don't come this far south. I am begining to feel like a stranger too. Just went on that thread don't know anyone it is packed in there standing room only. Stick to the other threads you don't see them there. Byron said there were 900 new members and that was yesterday and if you check the members board people have just registered not posted at all the bulk have 0 posts. The cat is sat right in from of the screen and he won't move I can't see bugger all

I'm with you, Damellon. I'm guessing Laura may also show up here at some point, along with Tom, Henning, Ken, and some others. She had a genuine interest in Hydra and this thread. Guaranteed the plethora of newcomers won't consider it worthy... probably won't even notice it.

Yep, truly absurd... I've just perused the membership list, starting at the end and going backwards. Most don't even bother to put where they're from, much less post anything now that they 'joined.'

Hi Judy - cats can't live with 'em can't live without 'em.

He always just stands there and when I give his bum a shove he just digs in.

Haha... mine, too, Paula... or he shifts back into the space where I've just budged him a few inches out of... like dead weight when he does it. I'm thinking of one cat in particular [Tony] who does this. He prefers to interfere with my handling of the mouse, too... his body just overlapping 1/2 of it... same modus operandi when I try to move him off it, even just 1/2 a mouse's worth.
