Re: Toronto gathering

Thanks for the reply Dick,

yes, unfortunately I had to settle for Saturday's opera, and I was too late to secure tix for the conversation.
But I will be at the gallery at or soon soon after opening, so I will perhaps seek you guys out.

Cheers,
pawel

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

I feel like I should apologize for fueling this debate. Talking about the monetary value of Leonard's work, where we all know how personal and intimate it is to him, seems to me to be rather disrespectful. I doubt that the ritual of putting on paper what the mirror shows includes any consideration o...

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

Well, IMO, if these were originals then they would be worth much more... and i would buy a few in an instant. But I agree with you. The bottom line is that each of the 100 pigment prints is absolutely identical . Personally, my view would be different if these were, say, lithographs, where although ...

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

And yes, the artwork prices are (insanely) high. I hope the reasoning behind pricing most folks out of being able to afford them is a sound one for their ultimate purpose. (meaning I hope they do sell well). Even at half the price being asked, I'd have a problem with the cost, but would consider it...

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

I wonder how many of us here can afford those silly prices. Think I might settle for an unframed poster. Silly indeed. You know, margaret, at the risk of sounding like a whiner (as i have expressed my opinion on the prices in another thread), I too was surprised when I found out what the cost is. P...

Re: Toronto gathering

Last minute decision here to attend the Saturday's Opera. I only had a chance to skim the 10 pages of this thread, but is anybody here attending on Saturday? I am unable to make today's performance as I live in Ottawa... Also, what is the schedule for the gathering, specifically, anything planned on...

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

Interresting, I do not see 'Watching you think' at the Richard Goodall website (leonardcohenart.com), and I was under the impression that they list the complete catalogue. I am assuming that it will be shown in Toronto....

Well, I guess I will have to make a drive to Toronto in the upcoming weeks... Too bad about the prices. I was quite set on getting one of them, but $1500US+ is slightly more than I am willing to pay. I realize these are limited edition, signed and all, but still.... Lets face it, these are prints (a...

Neither, but both are appreciators of my fanaticism. Hence the green light was there.
