Excellent analysis of the personal sanctuary in LC's work.....a much more compelling explanation than simplistically calling it a Rorscharch journey.

Rolling Stone - New Tour being planned!
Here is an excerpt from an interview given last week at Joe's Pub, published in Rolling Stone a few hours ago! Fill up your ATM machine! Do you want to tour again soon? A tour is being booked. Whether I'm going to show up . . . I haven't signed on for it yet, but it's certainly in the air. Do you wa...

Re: Mr. Cohen's Height
The answer is a surprising 5'3" - 5'4"! The attached photos shows Leonard and I chatting after the final concert in Las Vegas. I am 5'6" , although years ago I was closer to 5'8". Depending how you measure the hat, it looks like Leonard has also been a victim of the aging process...

Four was just a recollection of the main players ........
As for the future, I still predict smaller, more intimate venues.
We shall see.

Re: Blog: Cohen is planning another tour to support the reco
Surely not possible, LC needs musical support, Sharon alone would not be able to offer that. I know, but check out his early appearances, in the 70's,and 80's, when he could not afford todays' costs..... like Iceland in 1988, he was unbelieveable with a backup group of four! leonard from Montreal

Re: Blog: Cohen is planning another tour to support the reco
is it possible he might do three or four concerts to promote the record but no more i cant see a big tour? simon Simon, with the costs involved with any L.C concert, three or four concerts really would not be worth the effort, or be cost effective. A " one man" show with Sharon ? Leonard ...

Re: The forum has grown!
Is our online community healthy? Does it have a sustainable base for growth? The Forum is a real calibration of the continued and active identification with LC's "voice"........ with performing/public visibility the sustaining anchor..... without some LC activity/presence, I believe the F...

Arlene Thx for this article...it touches the essential Leonard and in just a very few words explains so much... “dump my aspirations to do anything superficial.” It reminds of his comments over the years describing how hard it is to write about universal emotions....... confirmed by these exact and ...

Re: Go No More A Roving
OK, you're right. So why did he even bother? Most of LC's fans (by remarks made in this very forum) could have lived without On That Day. Given the time from 9/11 to the actual 'release' of Dear Heather, On That Day disappoints even more than it did when I first thought about it. Mind you, the song...
