Re: The Forum and Facebook

. Well, you did ask! Well I did and I' didn't :) but I suppose in some ways a gig is a different set up to a concert anyway, but hang on, if you didn't enjoy it why condone those fans across the pond having meetups to go and see him?! ;-) Still think a screening of 'songs from the road...

Re: The Forum and Facebook

Did you go to one of Adams concerts Ann because there wasn't any meetup in Cork, can't speak for the others. edit. I should add, I don't think meetups are to be expected, Barcelona and Sligo were from what I can remember the only two that I was at that that were, or had to be, specifically organised...

Re: ADAM COHEN: Updated schedule with ticket links

Any Irish fans see Adam on The View on Tues night? I guess it could be that for us there's only ONE Cohen! Anne ;-) ;-) How brave you are, though - have you not noticed that any hint of criticism on the forum risks an attack from the jealots? Still, things have quietened down a bit here now, as oth...

Re: ADAM COHEN: Updated schedule with ticket links

Was at Adam's gig in Cork the other night. He's a chip off the old block alright but indeed he isn't the old block luckily enough for him. I really enjoyed myself, it was a lovely evening with nice songs, banter, beautiful arrangments with cello and vocals and other instruments and his band members ...

Re: SACDs of Cohen Discs?

I'm guessing SCAD's didn't really catch on and Mp3/4 overtook it or something? I've never heard of them.

Re: Would you pay to meet and greet Leonard Cohen?!

That is impressive about Daniel O'D. Macca does sound like a bit of a rip off alright. I suppose you could turn it around and argue, why shouldn't the artist get paid to have to put up with folk 'drooling' all over them before they have to get on stage and give a concert?!! The slight awkwardness of...

Would you pay to meet and greet Leonard Cohen?!

My hypothetical question is, if it were available, would you pay 3 to 4 times the price of a normal concert ticket if there was such a thing as a "meet and greet package" for a Leonard Cohen concert. (so that could be anything up to $1000 USD or €450 ish) to meet Leonard back stage and get...

Re: The Forum and Facebook

Facebook or forum? Well, both actually. facebook was very handy to get to know people before going to the meetup in Barcelona which was my first big meetup. It meant at least I knew what some people looked like! It made it much easier to go over and chat to people. Then having met so many people at ...
