Re: Leonard for Ireland?

Irish Mar, We met in Dublin and were both fortunate to meet Leonard. You put my 10 concerts of the 2008-09 tour to shame! Would love to see Leonard in Dublin, of all places, again and would make every effort to go.

Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!

Dear Leonard If the rules of life Were somewhat different For your birthday Each of your Cohenites Might elect to give you A portion of our unlived lives A month, a week, a day, an hour So that you’d live longer Or grow younger (The details of the scheme yet to be decided) Then perhaps in your one h...

Re: Visting Montreal

Many thanks Jarkko. And on behalf of many of us that attended the Dublin concerts thank you so much for organising the pre-sales which enabled us to obtain great seats for the performer of a lifetime.

Visting Montreal

Recently returned from two great concerts in Dublin I'm about to go to Canada for a short holiday, including 4 nights in Montreal. As a huge LC fan I'd be grateful if somebody on the forum could let me know the essential Cohen trail in this city of Leonard's birth.

Don't worry - chances are he'll be in tomorrow's heartbreak songs section or Tuesday's sex songs.

Re: Who visited the most shows? Let's count!

I went to 8 shows. I started with the 3 Dublin concerts, then took in 2 of the Manchester Opera House Shows, proceeded to the July 02 show (interesting but I won't be back) before rounding up with the 2 Albert Hall Shows the other week. Along the way I met up with old friends, at least one of whom I...

Re: Meet up - Royal Albert Hall - Troubadour

Caren I would join Habie in thanking you for uploading the the photos. It was nice to meet everybody on both Monday and Tuesday at both the Troubador and later at Janet's Bar. The faces become increasingly familiar from concert to concert. By now it's dawned upon me that I'm not the only child LC ob...

Leonard’s very own railway station in the woods

Cohenites may be interested in this small railway station in the Isle of Man, where I live: http://labyrinths.piczo.com/?cr=7 As a huge Cohen fan (6 concerts so far this year) it struck me as curious to chance upon a station so named whilst out walking. The language is Manx, an old Gaelic language s...
